Keen to grab something quick? This page lists seven takeaway-led places in and around Abbotsford: two in Abbotsford, four in Collingwood and one in Fitzroy. The food runs from burgers and croquettes to falafel, hot chicken, sandwiches and dumplings.
Each place was checked against at least two sources, including OpenStreetMap, the Australian Good Food Guide and its own website. Prices appear only where a menu printed them, and every entry ends with one move.

Macgregor’s Original — 212 Nicholson Street, Abbotsford VIC 3067
A smash burger is a ball of beef pressed flat on a hot grill so the edges crisp. Macgregor’s Original says on its site that it offers delivery and takeaway directly on its website. Its ordering site lists Combo (Single) at $24.99, described as a single patty burger, chips and a drink. The hours page lists Thursday to Sunday only, with Monday to Wednesday closed.

The Croquette Shop — 551 Victoria Street, Abbotsford VIC 3067
A croquette is a crumbed, fried roll with a filling inside. The Croquette Shop’s own site says its croquettes are Brazilian style, and it lists a pick up location on Victoria Street. The hours page lists Monday as closed and daytime trading the other six days. We could not find menu prices in the page text.
What it is: a crumbed fried roll with a filling, sold from a shop that the site calls Brazilian style.
Falafel Place — 264 Smith Street, Collingwood VIC 3066
Falafel are fried balls of ground chickpea, usually tucked into a wrap or served on a plate. Falafel Place’s own site links ordering through Uber Eats and DoorDash. The site lists Friday and Saturday service to midnight, and AGFG tags the place with vegetarian options, takeaway and delivery. We could not find menu prices in the page text.
The move: for a late order, use the Friday and Saturday hours the site lists, which run to midnight.
Belle’s Hot Chicken — 150 Gertrude Street, Fitzroy VIC 3065
Hot chicken is fried chicken finished with a chilli-heavy coating. Belle’s own site has an Order Takeaway link, and AGFG tags the Gertrude Street place with takeaway, delivery, halal options and gluten free options. The AGFG hours list lunch through dinner daily, a little later on Friday and Saturday. The site is undated, so check before you go; we found no menu prices.
The move: order through the site’s takeaway link, and ask about halal and gluten free options, which come from AGFG rather than the venue’s own site.
Carlito’s — 32 Stanley Street, Collingwood VIC 3066
Carlito’s own site says to pre order for pickup, and it signs off with the line Love is in the bread. Its menu prints Mortadella, with marinated peppers, stracciatella and wild roquette, at A$17.00. It prints Cotoletta, a chicken schnitzel sandwich, at A$19.00 and Steak Sandwich at A$24.00. The hours list Monday and Tuesday as closed, and the ordering page showed some items flagged out of stock when we checked.

Huxtaburger — 106 Smith Street, Collingwood VIC 3066
Huxtaburger’s own site describes a smash beef patty, melted cheese, pickles and burger sauce. It also lists a veggie option called The Proper Veggie. AGFG tags the Smith Street place with takeaway, delivery, halal options and gluten free options, and lists it trading to midnight on Friday and Saturday. The site’s news page announces a new, shorter menu, so dishes may differ from older listings; we found no menu prices.
The move: check the shorter menu on its site before you go, then pick a night when AGFG lists the later Friday or Saturday hours.
Bowl Bowl — 96 Smith Street, Collingwood VIC 3066
Bowl Bowl’s own site says dumpling fans are spoilt with unique flavours and sauces. It also says it has made sure to include vegetarian and gluten free options, including gluten free beer. The site lists the place as open seven days, morning to late, though AGFG lists different hours, and AGFG tags it with takeaway. The site looks undated and we found no menu prices, so confirm both before you go.
What it is: a dumpling restaurant where the site flags vegetarian and gluten free options, so ask which fillings and sauces fit your order.
