Planning dinner for two in Armadale? This page covers six sit-down restaurants: three in Armadale, and one each in Toorak, Malvern and Prahran. Any couple, any stage, and a plan B is built in.
Every place was checked against its own website and AGFG, and we only repeat what they publish. Where a venue lists hours, we say whose listing it is. Where we found no menu or no hours, we say that instead of filling the gap.
We could not find accessibility details published for any of these places, so ring ahead if you need them.

Amaru — 1121 High Street, Armadale VIC 3143
Amaru’s own site and AGFG both give the address as High Street, Armadale. We could not find hours or a menu with prices that we could quote. The site carries no date we could read, so confirm it is current before you book. That makes it a call-first option, not a plan-ahead one.
Stage: Best kept for a date where you will ring ahead and settle the details first.
Auterra — 1160 High Street, Armadale VIC 3143
Auterra’s own site and AGFG agree on 1160 High Street, Armadale. AGFG lists Alfresco Dining against it. We could not find hours or prices to quote, and its site has no date we could read. If the weather turns, plan B is anywhere else on this page.
Talk-ability: AGFG’s alfresco listing suggests seating outside, but we could not find anything published about noise.
Victor Churchill Armadale — 953 High Street, Armadale VIC 3143
Victor Churchill’s own site lists “Lunch from 12pm, 7 days. Dinner from 6pm Tuesday through Saturday”. So dinner is a Tuesday-to-Saturday plan, and lunch is the backup any day. AGFG and the site agree on 953 High Street. We could not find a menu with prices.
Exit plan: If dinner is full, the site’s lunch listing gives you a daytime fallback.
Bistro Thierry — 511 Malvern Rd, Toorak VIC 3142
Bistro Thierry is the one place here that prints its prices, so you can budget before you book. Its menu prints Steak Tartare at $35.50. It also prints Les Anchoïs at $18.50 and Pommes Frites at $10.50. At the top end, Foie Gras Poêlé “Jean Larnaudie” is printed at $80.00. Its own site lists hours of Monday to Sunday, 12pm - 3pm and 6:00pm - 10pm, and AGFG lists BYO and Alfresco Dining. The site has no date we could read, so check it is current.

Cambio Vita — 99 Glenferrie Road, Malvern VIC 3144
Cambio Vita’s own site lists clear weekly hours: Wednesday - Thursday 5 - 9:30pm, Friday - Saturday 12:30 - 3:30pm & 5 - 10pm, and Sunday 12:30 - 3pm & 5 - 9pm. AGFG lists Child Friendly. It is on Glenferrie Road in Malvern, next door to Armadale. We could not find a menu with prices, and the site has no date we could read.
Say this: “Can we book a table for Friday?” suits a plan built around the listed weekly hours.
Osteria Renata — 436-438 High St, Prahran VIC 3181
Osteria Renata is on High St in Prahran, and its own site and AGFG agree on that address. AGFG lists Alfresco Dining. We could not find hours we could quote, as the listing we saw was seasonal, and there was no menu with prices. Treat it as a ring-first option.
Exit plan: Prahran is a short hop from Armadale, so it works as plan B if your first choice is full.
