A brunch menu with real range. Turkish poached eggs come on yoghurt with minted pistachio chilli oil, dukkah and Turkish bread, $24.50. Turkish eggs (çılbır) pair cool, usually garlicky yoghurt with soft eggs and a hot spiced butter or oil. Eggs benedict with locally smoked free-range ham is also $24.50, but only until 1pm. Waffles with vanilla poached pear, crushed pistachio, meringue and ice cream are $22.50.

The day menu lists a “BREAKFAST {ALL DAY}” section, which is the useful fact when brunch drifts past noon. The Corny Fritters are corn and zucchini fritters with poached eggs and tomato relish, $21. Buttermilk pancakes with berry compote, Oreo crumble, fresh berries, toasted nuts, maple syrup and ice-cream are also $21. For something in the hand, the Breekie Roll (fried egg, bacon, cheese and homemade relish on a toasted brioche bun) is $13. The Big Breakfast Board is $28.

The venue’s own page lists a Bottomless Brunch from Friday to Sunday, 12 to 3pm, at $75pp: 90 minutes of unlimited tacos and unlimited drinks from the bottomless list (margaritas, piña colada, wine, sangria and beer; birria is excluded). It is 18 and over, and bookings are essential.
Not drinking? The quesabirria beef taco is $19: a tortilla folded over melted cheese and birria, the slow-braised, chilli-spiced beef, served with its broth for dipping. Churros with cinnamon sugar and ice-cream are $13. It opens at 12pm, so this is a late brunch, not an early one.

Broadsheet’s May 2026 new-cafes round-up describes effe. as a gelateria and coffee shop, and its own Facebook page lists specialty coffee, artisanal gelato, ferments and baked goods. Broadsheet reported cookies and seasonal tarts in the cabinet: beetroot with goat’s cheese, or almond frangipane with mandarin and fennel when it visited.
Visit Melbourne lists 8am to 4pm on weekdays, 8am to 3pm on Saturday and 9am to 1pm on Sunday.
