This page covers Italian sit-down options in and around Bentleigh East and sorts out which kitchen suits which table. The styles differ more than the word Italian suggests. One is a parma-and-pasta restaurant, one is a pub with a dedicated Italian kitchen, one is a pizza and pinsa shop, and one is a cafe that lists a chicken parmigiana. A pinsa (a Roman-style oval base, related to pizza) is the one dish here worth defining before you order.

Pastasciutta Italian Kitchen — 1015-1017 Centre Road, Bentleigh East VIC 3165
Pastasciutta’s site describes its menu as ‘pizza, parma, pasta, steaks and salads’, which makes it the broadest Italian-leaning menu on this page. A parma (a crumbed chicken schnitzel under napoli sauce and melted cheese) is the centrepiece: its site lists a Parma at $14 (+$2 sides) as a Tuesday promotion. The site also lists a 300g Portehouse steak with your choice of sauce at $21 (+$2 sides), spelled as printed.
Its site says it is open ’everyday, Mondays to Sundays, from 11:30am to 9:30pm’. The menu itself is an image file we could not read as text, and the site’s footer looks dated, so treat the promotions as the venue’s own listings rather than a current price list.

Boundary Hotel — 730 Centre Road, Bentleigh East VIC 3165
Boundary Hotel is a pub, and its site presents a Signor Fox kitchen with an Italian-leaning menu. The site’s own lines include ‘Now it’s woodfired pizza with bubbling cheese’ and ‘Prawn linguine that flirts’. The Signor Fox menu, dated April 2026 in its file name, lists a Margherita with sugo, fior di latte (fresh cow’s-milk mozzarella) and basil at $23.
The same menu lists deep fried lasagne bites with parmesan mayo at $16 and tiramisu served table-side at $12. Its site lists Signor Fox hours of 11:30am to 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 11:30am to 9:00pm Friday to Sunday.

Queen Margherita’s ordering page lists Pinsa Margherita at $24, which is the dish to read about first: pinsa is a Roman-style oval base, lighter in concept than a standard round pizza. The page also lists an American with calabrese hot salami and shaved ham at Large $28 or Regular $24, and Homemade Tiramisu at $13.
Its vegan pizzas are priced on the page: Regular Vegan Margherita at $21 and Regular Vegan Pomodoro & Fungo at $20. The page lists store hours of 4:00pm to 9:30pm every day, and we make no claim about dough or oven because the page we read does not describe them.

Double Pour is a cafe in Bentleigh rather than Bentleigh East, and it is the lightest Italian entry here. Its summer day menu lists a chicken parmigiana at $26, and its dinner menu lists a pizza in one size; we could not find a printed price for the pizza that we could copy exactly. The site calls itself ‘A Pet-Friendly Café with Delicious Culinary Choices’.
Its site lists Tuesday and Wednesday 7.00 AM to 3.00 PM, Thursday and Friday 7.00 AM to 9.00 PM, and weekends 7.00 AM to 3.00 PM, with Monday closed.
