Correction (3 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources between 2 October 2026 and 3 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.

Four places had enough on the public record for us to stand behind them. Three sit on Boronia Road in Boronia itself. The fourth, a lunch bar, is over the suburb line in Bayswater, so this is a page about breakfast in and around Boronia.

Each entry says where the information came from: the cafe’s own site, the Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG), or a delivery app. Prices are copied as printed. Sweet or savoury? The picks below sort that out fast.

1947 Cafe — 11/163 Boronia Road, Boronia VIC 3155

The cafe’s own site says “Breakfast Served all day”. It lists its hours as Tuesday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Monday closed. HappyCow shows different hours, so go by the cafe’s site.

A manoush is a flatbread baked with a topping. The menu has a za’atar one (herb blend with olive oil) and a sujuk one (sujuk, cheese, olives, tomatoes and capsicum). The Sujuk Sunrise is a kaak roll, and the menu describes it as sujuk, egg and cheese.

Vegan? The menu flags its Green Oasis with a V: scrambled tofu, facon, coconut labneh, dairy free haloumi, cucumber, tomato, olives and a choice of bread. A HappyCow review describes a vegan kaak roll with scrambled tofu, vegan bacon and avocado.

Sweet or savoury? The menu has both. Knafeh is kataifi layered with cheese, soaked in cinnamon syrup and topped with pistachio.

On the menu (copied from 1947cafe.com.au on 3 October 2026):

  • Za’atar manoush: $4.00
  • Sujuk manoush: $10.00
  • The Sujuk Sunrise (kaak roll): $17.00
  • Knafeh: $15.00

The order: the za’atar manoush is the cheapest way to see what the menu is about, and the Sujuk Sunrise is the one built like a breakfast.

Cafe Brontos — Unit 1, 140 Boronia Road, Boronia VIC 3155

AGFG lists Cafe Brontos with Alfresco Dining, Breakfast, Child Friendly, Gluten Free Options and Online Ordering. Its own tag line reads “Cafe, best coffee, gelato, breakfast, brunch, kids friendly, kids menu, pet menu, outdoor dine in, catering”. That is the cafe describing itself, not a verdict from us.

AGFG’s listing gives the hours as Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. That is an AGFG listing, so check the cafe before a weekend trip. The cafe’s online ordering page takes pre-orders.

The “pet menu” means food for pets is sold: the ordering page lists chicken, rice and vegetables for pets. We found no source saying dogs may sit with you, so we are not saying that.

We could not read any prices here. The menu on its own site is a PDF viewer, and the ordering page shows prices only inside item pop-ups, so there is no price line for this cafe.

Go for: a sit-down breakfast with the kids menu and the outdoor tables the cafe lists, once you have checked the day’s hours.

Forage Food Store — 157 Boronia Road, Boronia VIC 3155

Forage has no website of its own that we could find, so the picture comes from AGFG, OpenStreetMap and DoorDash. DoorDash’s weekend menu is titled “Weekend Menu - All Day Breakfast”. Hours disagree between sources, so all we will say is that it opens from early morning.

AGFG lists Forage with Breakfast, Alfresco Dining, Child Friendly, Vegan Options and Pet Friendly. That is a third-party listing, so read “listed as pet friendly on AGFG” as exactly that, not as a promise that dogs are allowed inside. OpenStreetMap separately records outdoor seating.

The prices below are DoorDash delivery prices, and DoorDash says its menu prices are estimated. Treat them as a guide, not as the shop’s counter prices.

Sweet or savoury? DoorDash lists a French Toast on one side and a Big Meat Breakfast and a Big Veg Breakfast on the other.

On the menu (copied from doordash.com on 3 October 2026):

  • Egg Benedict: A$17.49
  • Big Meat Breakfast: A$27.99
  • Big Veg Breakfast: A$25.99
  • French Toast: A$21.99

The order: Egg Benedict is the cheapest of the four listed breakfasts on DoorDash, and the Big Veg Breakfast is the one to look at if you want no meat.

Barry Street Lunch Bar — 38 Barry Street, Bayswater VIC 3153

This one is in Bayswater, not Boronia. A business directory gives the address as 38 Barry St, Bayswater, and OpenStreetMap carries the venue without an address. The sources disagree on opening hours, so we are not printing any. Ring ahead before you go.

DoorDash lists a Double Egg, Bacon & Cheese Roll, which is the breakfast roll on this page. The same DoorDash page lists burgers, chips and a chicken kebab wrap, so this is a lunch bar that also does breakfast, not a sit-down cafe.

Prices are DoorDash delivery prices, so expect them to differ from the counter.

On the menu (copied from doordash.com on 3 October 2026):

  • Double Egg, Bacon & Cheese Roll: $13.50
  • Cheese and Bacon Burger: $17.00
  • Chips: $7.50
  • Hamburger with the Lot: $19.00

Go for: the Double Egg, Bacon & Cheese Roll, listed at $13.50 on DoorDash, if you want breakfast in a roll.

Quick answers

Where can you get breakfast in Boronia?

Three of the four places here have Boronia Road addresses: 1947 Cafe, Cafe Brontos and Forage Food Store. The fourth, Barry Street Lunch Bar, is in Bayswater.

Which of these serve breakfast all day?

1947 Cafe’s own site says “Breakfast Served all day”. Forage’s weekend menu on DoorDash is titled “Weekend Menu - All Day Breakfast”. For Cafe Brontos we have its listed hours and its own tag line, not an all-day claim.

Is there a vegan breakfast?

1947 Cafe’s menu flags its Green Oasis with a V and lists scrambled tofu, facon and dairy free haloumi. AGFG lists Forage with Vegan Options. We did not find a vegan tag for Cafe Brontos.

Can you take kids or a dog?

AGFG lists Cafe Brontos and Forage as Child Friendly, and Cafe Brontos’s own tag line mentions a kids menu. AGFG lists Forage as Pet Friendly, and Cafe Brontos sells meals for pets, but neither source says dogs may sit inside, so ask the cafe first.

How we checked

We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources between 2 October 2026 and 3 October 2026: the places’ own websites, happycow.net, OpenStreetMap, cafe-brontos.nextorder.com, the Australian Good Food Guide, a delivery-platform listing and australia.chamberofcommerce.com. Every price is copied exactly as printed on the page linked under Sources, on 3 October 2026. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The photos are illustrative, from Unsplash: they show the kind of food or place, not the places on this page.
