Five of the six restaurants on this page are on Sydney Road, and the page looks at one slice of the suburb’s eating: Indian, Nepalese and Pakistani restaurants. We have not quoted Census figures here, so the page sticks to what each restaurant publishes.
Six places are covered, five in Brunswick and one in Brunswick East. Each was checked against two independent sources, and where a restaurant publishes no prices or hours we say so rather than guess.
Dishes are explained in a line where a menu names them. Opening hours are credited to whoever lists them, and some listings may be out of date.

Raas Indian — 148 Sydney Road, Brunswick VIC 3056
Raas Indian’s functions page offers a choice of inside dining, beer garden, or a combination of both. The same page says vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available. We have no published prices or opening hours for it, so this entry leaves both out.

Old Durbar Nepalese restaurant and lounge — 671 Sydney Road, Brunswick VIC 3056
Old Durbar’s own site lists weekday trading from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, and from 12:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Its site also lists Live Music Every Monday 7 pm to 10 pm and a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. AGFG tags a bar, takeaway, delivery, child friendly dining and disabled access.
Festival calendar: There is no festival listed, but the site’s weekly Monday live music is the one scheduled event we could find.
Royal E Punjab — 878 Sydney Road, Brunswick VIC 3056
Royal E Punjab’s ordering page prints Plain Naan, a plain flour bread, at $2.55, and Garlic Naan at $4.10. Samosa (2 Pcs) is listed at $8.15, described on the menu as crispy pastry stuffed with potatoes and peas. The ordering page lists 5pm to 10pm every day, and OpenStreetMap and that page print the same street number.

Bilal — 860 Sydney Road, Brunswick VIC 3056
AGFG’s listing for Bilal shows hours of 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM, while OpenStreetMap tags 17:00-22:30, so the two disagree and either may be out of date. AGFG tags halal options, vegetarian options, takeaway, delivery, child friendly dining and disabled access. We have no published menu prices for it.
The precinct: Bilal, Peshawri and Royal E Punjab all sit along Sydney Road, so the three can be compared in one walk.
Peshawri: Brunswick — 868 Sydney Road, Brunswick VIC 3056
Peshawri’s menu prints Peshawri Naan at $2.90, described as a soft and fluffy leavened flatbread served hot. It also lists Raita at $1.00, a cooling yoghurt side. OpenStreetMap tags the hours as Mo-Su 17:00-23:55, which may be out of date.

Spice Mix — 180 Lygon Street, Brunswick East VIC 3057
Spice Mix’s site prints ONE CURRY DEAL ( HALF CURRY & HALF RICE) at $14.95, and its menu lists CHICKEN TIKKA at $18.95 and TANDOORI CHICKEN at $14.50. Tikka means marinated pieces cooked in a tandoor-style oven. The site also lists a VEGAN JACKFRUIT CURRY, and its own hours show Monday closed with Sunday running 17:00 – 24:00.
