Correction (4 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 4 October 2026.

This is a short page on purpose. Only two places in and around Camberwell passed our check: each was confirmed at two independent sources and has free wifi in a listing we could read, one cafe and one library. We did not pad it with places we could not verify.

Denmark Hill Kafe has Free Wifi on its AGFG listing. Camberwell Library’s council page says wifi is free with a library membership, and also says you can book a computer or walk up to one, and book a study room for free. We could not find a published laptop policy or power point details for either place, so do not assume them.

Hours are given with whose listing they come from.

Denmark Hill Kafe — 689 Burke Rd, Camberwell VIC 3124

AGFG tags Denmark Hill Kafe with Free Wifi, and that is the only wifi source we found, since its own site does not mention it. Its own site lists Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm and Saturday and Sunday 6am to 2pm. Ordering runs through a separate page, and we could not read any menu prices.

Laptop policy: We could not find a published laptop policy, so ask before you open one up.

Boroondara Council says wifi is free at its libraries with a library membership. Its page also says you can book a computer in advance or walk up and use a free one, and that Camberwell Library has a study room you can book for up to 3 hours for free. OpenStreetMap’s opening hours tag lists Monday 09:00 to 21:00, Tuesday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00, Saturday 10:00 to 17:00 and Sunday 13:00 to 17:00. The council says it is closed on public holidays.

Desk price: The council page describes the wifi and the study room booking as free, with wifi needing a library membership.

Quick answers

Which cafes in Camberwell have free wifi?

Only one cafe passed our check. AGFG tags Denmark Hill Kafe with Free Wifi. We could not confirm wifi at other cafes in and around Camberwell, so we have not listed them. Camberwell Library is the other place on this page, and the council says its wifi is free with a library membership.

Does Camberwell Library have free wifi?

Yes, per Boroondara Council, which says you can access free wifi at any of its branches with a library membership. The same page says you can book a computer in advance or walk up and use a free one.

Can you book a study room at Camberwell Library?

The council says Camberwell Library has a study room you can book for up to 3 hours for free. The library is closed on public holidays, according to the same council page, so check the hours before you plan a long session.

Do Camberwell cafes allow laptops?

We could not find a published laptop policy for Denmark Hill Kafe, and no power point details either. AGFG lists Free Wifi for it, which is not the same as a laptop welcome, so ask the cafe. The library is the place with stated terms for working: free wifi with membership, computers you can book or walk up to, and a study room you can book for free.

How we checked

We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources on 4 October 2026: the places’ own websites, the Australian Good Food Guide, camberwellshopping.com.au, OpenStreetMap and council pages. We copied no menu prices from these places’ own pages, so this page prints none. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The cover photo is illustrative, from Unsplash, and does not show any place on this page.
