Each one was confirmed at two independent sources, the restaurant’s own site and the Australian Good Food Guide, with OpenStreetMap as a further source for OMI. Hours are quoted from whoever published them, and where we do not print hours, we say so.

AGFG’s location line places it inside Chadstone Shopping Centre, and its own site lists the same Dandenong Road address. Its site lists the same hours every day of the week, 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm, so you are not forced into one particular night. AGFG also tags it for takeaway, but this page is only about the sit-down table.

Pastore Chadstone — 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone VIC 3148
Pastore is the Italian pick, and its own site gives the Chadstone address that AGFG repeats. The site lists different hours across the week: Tuesday to Thursday from 12:00pm, Friday and Saturday running to 9:30pm, and Sunday and Monday starting at 5:30pm. We could not find a date on the site, so confirm the hours before you lock in a booking. If the Italian plan falls over, the other four places on this page are within the same shopping centre address.
Talk-ability: We could not find any note on music or noise in the sources, so ask when you book whether you can have a quiet table.
Marae Izakaya — 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone VIC 3148
An izakaya is a Japanese pub-style place built around small plates for the table, which makes it a natural fit if you like to share. Marae’s own site and AGFG both place it at the Chadstone Shopping Centre address. The site lists Monday to Wednesday 11:30am to 8:00pm, Thursday and Friday to 9:00pm, Saturday from 11:00am to 9:00pm, and Sunday 11:00am to 8:30pm. The site carries no date we could read, so check before you go.
Split or splurge: Izakaya plates are usually shared, so this leans towards split, though we could not find any prices to say what that costs.
OMI — 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone VIC 3148
OMI’s own site, omiwagyu.com.au, lists the Chadstone address, and AGFG places it on the Lower Ground Floor of the shopping centre. The site is where its Japanese noodle dishes, ramen and udon, come into the picture, though we found no menu prices to quote. AGFG lists takeaway for OMI, so ask about sit-down seating when you call. The site has recent dated content, so the hours look current, but a quick call never hurts.
