Takeaway here means a counter you can walk up to and leave from. Six places made the page: five in Chadstone and one in Oakleigh, each with a takeaway line on a source, either the place’s own site or an AGFG listing.
Two of them print menu prices we could read, so those come with dollar figures and a one-line explainer of the dish. The other four have no price we copied, so we print none and say so. Every place was matched against two independent sources.

Schnitz — 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone VIC 3148
Schnitz’s site says: dine in, takeaway, or get it delivered. A schnitzel is a crumbed, fried cutlet, so that is the dish to expect at a schnitzel counter. We could not find a menu price we could read, so no dollar figure here.
The move: Pick takeaway at the counter, since its site names that alongside dine in and delivery.
Rice Workshop — 1341 Dandenong Road, Chadstone VIC 3148
Rice Workshop’s site calls it a Japanese rice bar that grew from a DIY bar into a take away fast food place for rice bowls and noodle bowls. We could not find a price we could read, and the site is undated.
What it is: A rice bowl is rice with a topping over it, and a noodle bowl is the noodle version.
Maguro Sushi and Oyster Bar — 1341 Dandenong Rd, Chadstone VIC 3148
On its own website, Maguro describes its speciality as take-away sushi and sashimi done with a contemporary twist. AGFG lists the shop in Chadstone Shopping Centre. We could not find a price we could read.
What it is: Sashimi is sliced raw fish with no rice; sushi comes with seasoned rice. Ask which you want boxed up.
The Meat & Wine Co Chadstone — 1341 Dandenong Rd, Chadstone VIC 3148
AGFG lists takeaway for The Meat & Wine Co Chadstone, a listing feature. Its location page lists 12:00 pm – 9:30 pm every day of the week. We could not find a price we could read, so this one has no dollar figure.
The move: Ask if the takeaway menu matches the sit-down one, because the listing only ticks takeaway.
Shanghai Red — 1341 Dandenong Rd, Chadstone VIC 3148
Shanghai Red’s menu PDF prints Shao Mai (3pcs) at $10.80. Shao mai are open-topped steamed dumplings. Shanghai Red’s menu also prints Wonton in Soup (6pcs) at $12.80. AGFG lists takeaway and child friendly, and its site lists Monday - Thursday: 11AM - 8:30PM and Friday - Sunday: 11AM - 9pm.

Mr Korean Chicken is at 1525 Dandenong Road, Oakleigh, and AGFG lists takeaway and child friendly. Its menu prints Dumplings (6pc) (VG) at $11.40. It also prints Corn Cheese (VG) at $13.40, Mozarella Stick (6pc) (VG) at $12.80 and Sweet Potato Bites (4pc) (VG) at $8.80. The site is undated, so prices may have moved.
