Correction (1 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed gyms, street addresses, weekly prices, opening hours and equipment that were generated from templates, not checked. It used real brand names (Jetts, Goodlife, Snap) at Doncaster addresses where we found no sign of them trading, named gyms such as “Peak Performance Doncaster” that we could not find at all, and gave a postcode (3147) that is not Doncaster’s. It also said every option had been tested in person. That was not true. The page has been rewritten from scratch: every gym below was checked against its own website and a second, independent source on 1 October 2026, and nothing from the old page was kept.
The four gyms on this list are very different places: a council aquatic centre on Williamsons Road, a health and lifestyle club off Doncaster Road, a chain gym inside Westfield Doncaster, and a 24/7 gym at The Pines in Doncaster East. If you want a pool, two of the four list one. If you want to train late at night, start with Jetts, and ask Fitness First how its after-hours entry works. If you want to know the weekly price before you walk in, only one of the four prints it on its own pages: the council-owned Aquarena.
The other three (Next Gen, Fitness First and Jetts) print no membership prices on their own club pages, so this guide compares them on access, hours and facilities instead, and leaves the price conversation to you and the front desk.

Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre — 139-153 Williamsons Road, Templestowe Lower
The council option, and the only one of the four whose own pages print membership prices. Aquarena is owned by Manningham Council and managed by Aligned Leisure, which runs it under the Active Manningham name. The council lists a health club, group exercise, an indoor 25-metre heated pool, a warm water pool for rehabilitation, and spas and a steam room.
One thing to know before you join for the swimming: the outdoor area is being rebuilt. Active Manningham says the outdoor area, including the 50-metre pool, waterslides, pavilion, occasional care service and café, is closed for the duration of construction. Active Manningham said in May 2026 that construction had started, and its FAQ expects the works to run for approximately 19 months. The indoor centre stays open, and lap swimmers are asked to check the lane availability calendar before they come. The council’s own venue page still lists the outdoor 50-metre pool and waterslides among the facilities, so go by Active Manningham’s redevelopment page.
Membership (per week, Aquarena):
- Adult Full Access: $26.90, covering the gym (health club), pools and group fitness, but not Reformer Pilates.
- Adult Full Access Off-peak: $22.85, for weekdays between 9:30am and 4pm, and all day on weekends and public holidays.
- Adult Reformer Pilates: $41.40, adding unlimited Reformer Pilates classes to full access.
- Adult Aquatic: $19.40, for the pools and aquatic group fitness classes.
- Concession Full Access: $22.85. Concession Aquatic: $16.50.
A $29 joining fee applies to every membership type except Child/Teen, and there is a 3-month minimum commitment. After that, payments continue fortnightly by direct debit until you cancel with at least 14 days’ written notice. These are the prices on Active Manningham’s membership page. Aquarena’s own centre page shows the adult aquatic membership at $26.90 a week, so confirm the aquatic price when you sign up.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 5:30am to 10pm, Friday 5:30am to 8pm, Saturday 7am to 8pm, Sunday 8am to 8pm. Pools close 15 minutes before the centre.

Next Gen Doncaster — 21 Members Drive, Doncaster VIC 3108
The “resort-inspired” option, off Doncaster Road. NextGen Clubs officially opened the club in 2021 on Mirvac’s Tullamore site, according to a CBRE press release from October 2025. Its own page lists a gym, over 100 group fitness classes a week, a dedicated Reformer Pilates studio, a 25-metre heated indoor pool and a 25-metre seasonal outdoor pool, a spa with sauna, steam room and ice baths, four outdoor tennis courts and one pickleball court, a crèche for children from 3 months to 6 years, and a licensed café.
Not everything comes with every membership. Next Gen’s membership page lists two levels, Fitness and Premium; Reformer Pilates, the tennis courts and the spa, sauna and steam room appear only under Premium. The club publishes no prices: its page asks you to “contact the Doncaster team today to learn more about our memberships”, and it offers club tours with “no obligation to join”.

Fitness First Doncaster — Level 2, Westfield Doncaster, 619 Doncaster Road, Doncaster VIC 3108
The shopping-centre option. Fitness First gives its address as Tenancy 1154 at Westfield Doncaster, and Westfield’s store page puts it on Level 2, near The Sporting Globe, and points to the Yellow Car Park. The club lists a gym floor, Reform Pilates, group exercise, free and loaded weights, a cycle studio, yoga, personal training, a sauna and a steam room, plus free parking and disabled access.
Hours: the club’s own page says “Open 24 hours”, with staffed hours of 6am to 9pm Monday to Thursday, 6am to 8pm Friday, 8am to 5pm Saturday and 9am to 5pm Sunday. Westfield’s store page lists shorter hours (5am to 11pm on weekdays, 7am to 7pm on weekends), so ask the club how after-hours entry works before you plan a late session.

Jetts Doncaster East — The Pines Shopping Centre, 181 Reynolds Road, Doncaster East VIC 3109
The 24/7 option in Doncaster East, at shop P04 in The Pines. Jetts says the club is “Open 24/7 to Members” and sells it on “24/7 access, no lock-in contracts”. It lists cardio and strength equipment, free weights, a functional training zone, a stretching area, personal training, change rooms, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Neither a pool nor group classes appear in its facilities list.

How we checked
On 1 October 2026 we read each gym’s own club page in full (raw page text, not search-result summaries) and confirmed each address at a second website: Westfield’s store page for Fitness First, The Pines Shopping Centre’s store page for Jetts, the AUSactive industry directory and a CBRE press release for Next Gen, and Manningham Council’s venue page for Aquarena. Prices come only from Active Manningham’s membership page, and each price on this page is the one printed for that named membership. The chains’ own pages print no prices, so we do not guess them. Limited-time offers on the gyms’ pages are left out, because they expire.
Postcodes come from the Australian postcode list we use for every MELBZ page. Manningham Council and Active Manningham both give Aquarena’s address as Templestowe Lower 3108; the postcode list puts Templestowe Lower at 3107 and 3108 at Doncaster, so we give the street address without a postcode.
