Two Japanese places made it through our checks for Elsternwick, and both are on Glen Huntly Road. That is a short list, and we would rather print two confirmed places than pad it. This page also answers searches for sushi and Japanese together, because Momoyama Sushi is one of the two.
Each place was checked against at least two independent sources, and every fact says whose it is. A Japanese menu is easier to read once the dishes are decoded, so the Bistro Goemon entry explains its listed dishes, and the Momoyama Sushi entry sticks to what its site and AGFG list.

Momoyama Sushi — 255 Glen Huntly Road, Elsternwick VIC 3185
Momoyama Sushi is at 255 Glen Huntly Road, and its own site lists Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30am to 9:30pm. The listing names those six days, so check with the venue about Monday. AGFG lists Child Friendly, Takeaway and Alfresco Dining. This page prints no price for it.
Decoder: Sushi means vinegared rice with fish or other toppings; nigiri is a slice over a small pad of rice and maki is rolled in seaweed, which helps when you read any sushi list.
