Footscray bakes in more than one tradition. This page covers five places in and around Footscray: three in Footscray, one in West Footscray and one in Seddon. They cover Swedish, French, Egyptian and Lebanese, and Sicilian baking.
Each entry uses the bakery’s own listed hours and printed prices where we found them. If no price turned up, the entry states that. Each place was checked against at least two sources.

Gordon St Bakery (Footscray) — 142 Gordon Street, Footscray VIC 3011
Broadsheet calls Gordon St Bakery “a small slice of French life”. The shop page prints Plain Croissant at $5.50, Almond Croissant at $6.50, Vegan Croissant at $5.00 and White Sourdough at $8.50. It lists Wednesday to Sunday mornings. The page is an online pre-order list, so in-store prices may differ, and the site asks for orders at least 72 hours before pickup.

Pyramids Bakery is an Egyptian and Lebanese bakery on Irving Street. Its order page prints Zaatar at A$4.00, Cheese Man’oush at A$6.00 and Meat Man’oush at A$7.00. Man’oush is a flatbread baked with a topping. The page also lists Aish Baladi, a traditional bread, at A$5.00. OpenStreetMap lists Monday to Saturday opening hours.

T. Cavallaro & Sons Pasticceria — 98 Hopkins Street, Footscray VIC 3011
A pasticceria is an Italian pastry shop. The site’s page title reads “Sicilian Cannoli & Sweets”, and the address is Hopkins Street. It lists Monday as closed, with Tuesday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours. We could not find menu prices on the site, so this entry has none.
Go for: Cannoli, which the site’s title names, but ask about the day’s range because we found no price list.
Inner West Swedish Baker — 549A Barkly Street, West Footscray VIC 3012
This bakery is in West Footscray. Its site says the bread is slow-fermented, hand-shaped and inspired by Swedish tradition. The shop page prints Kanelbullar, a cardamom and cinnamon scroll, at $ 7.50, and a Chunky Beef & Guinness Pie at $ 9.50. The site also lists a Mushroom Miso Sausage Roll (Vegan) at $ 9.00. The site lists Tuesday to Sunday and mentions coffee, but names no roaster.

Alfa Bakehouse is a multi-site bakery, and the Seddon shop is on Victoria Street. Its site title reads “Melbourne Brunch, Coffee & Catering” and lists Seddon, Yarraville and Whitten Oval. It lists weekday hours of 6am to 3pm and weekend hours of 7am to 3pm. We could not read menu prices, so we have no dishes to quote.
Go for: Brunch, which the site title names, and check the menu on the site before you leave.
