Correction (10 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 9 October 2026.
This page answers a simple question: where can you drink outdoors in Glen Waverley? The honest answer from our checking is one pub, Mountain View Hotel on Springvale Road. It is the only place we could verify that carries an alfresco dining tag, so we are not padding the page with guesses.
We read the pub’s own site, its Australian Good Food Guide listing and its OpenStreetMap entry. Where a detail comes from one of them, the sentence says which. Nothing here comes from a visit.
The quick picks
| If you’re after | Head to | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Pub with alfresco dining listed | Mountain View Hotel | 186 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley |
Mountain View Hotel — 186 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley VIC 3150
AGFG lists Alfresco Dining among Mountain View Hotel’s features, and that tag is the reason it earns a spot on a beer garden page. It is a listing feature, so treat it as a lead, not a promise about the layout. We could not find a page describing the outdoor area itself, which means no word on shade, heaters or seating from us.
Its own site gives the address as 186 Springvale Rd, Glen Waverley, and the site lists opening hours of Mon - Sun: 10:00am - 04:00am. The pages we read carry no date, so confirm the hours before an arvo plan hangs on them.
Garden: AGFG lists alfresco dining, but we found nothing published on heaters or whether dogs are allowed outside, so ring ahead and ask.
Quick answers
Is there a beer garden in Glen Waverley?
We could verify one pub, Mountain View Hotel, which AGFG lists with Alfresco Dining. We did not find a page that uses the words beer garden for it, so we describe only what the listing says.

Where is Mountain View Hotel in Glen Waverley?
Mountain View Hotel’s own site gives 186 Springvale Rd Glen Waverley, VIC, 3150, and AGFG and OpenStreetMap agree on the place.
How we checked
We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources on 9 October 2026: OpenStreetMap, the places’ own websites and the Australian Good Food Guide. We copied no menu prices from these places’ own pages, so this page prints none. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The cover photo is illustrative, from Unsplash, and does not show any place on this page.
