Correction (3 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 3 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.
Even a sparse pizza menu asserts something, with the oven named in the claim, the style given in the description and the price tucked into the corner. This guide covers five places, four in Hampton (Fazio’s, Queen Margherita and Picasso’s on Hampton Street, and Da Belcibo on Bluff Road) and one in Sandringham (Barbalu’s on Bay Road).
We quote each venue’s claims about its oven exactly as it makes them, and we give prices only where we could copy them. Not every price here is a pizza price. Fazio’s lines we copied are entrees and mains, while Queen Margherita’s are pizzas by size. For the other three, we could not read a priced menu.
The quick picks
| If you’re after | Head to | Order this | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| A wood-fired oven, by the venue’s own claim | Fazio’s Pizzeria e Grill | Bruschetta (entree; pizza prices not copied) | $10 |
| Wood-fired pizza as its site’s specialty | Da Belcibo (Hampton) | see below | not printed here |
| Priced pizzas by size, and a Wednesday pick-up deal | Queen Margherita Hampton | Margherita | $27 |
| A Tuesday to Sunday dinner restaurant with a Margherita on its site | Picasso’s Family Restaurant | see below | not printed here |
| Pizza and pasta in Sandringham, delivering to Hampton | Barbalu’s Pizza & Pasta | see below | not printed here |
Fazio’s Pizzeria e Grill — 462 Hampton Street, Hampton VIC 3188
Fazio’s own site talks about “pizzas from our wood-fired oven”. A wood-fired oven bakes at very high heat, which is why such pizzas cook in a few minutes. Its contact page lists the restaurant open 4 pm to 10 pm with the kitchen 5 pm to 9 pm, closed Tuesday. Its pizzas are priced in two sizes on the menu, and we have not copied those lines; the lines we did copy are an entree and mains. The menu page’s date stamp is old enough that prices may have moved. The site also offers “Order Takeaway” and describes “casual group gatherings to intimate date nights”.
On the menu (copied from fazio.net.au on 3 October 2026):
- Bruschetta: $10
- Mpepata di cozze: $17
- Veal Lasagne: $26
- Slow Cooked Beef Cheek: $36
Menu tells: the pasta lines show two prices, entree and main sizes, so we recorded only the single-price lines above.
Da Belcibo (Hampton) — 355 Bluff Road, Hampton VIC 3188
Da Belcibo’s site says “wood fired pizza is our specialty!”, and it offers “pick-up and delivery services”. The Hampton venue is at 355 Bluff Road, and the brand also has another venue elsewhere, so check you have this one. The Australian Good Food Guide lists it open 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM every day; those hours are the guide’s, not the venue’s. We could not read a text menu, so we quote no prices. OpenStreetMap tags it cuisine=“pizza”.
BYO / takeaway: takeaway is on offer, per its site; the guide lists it as Fully Licensed, and BYO is not stated.
Queen Margherita Hampton — 569 Hampton Street, Hampton VIC 3188
Queen Margherita Hampton’s ordering page heads its range “Stone Baked Pizza” and lists Traditional Pizza, Gourmet Pizza, Vegan Pizza and Traditional Pasta. It lists store hours of 4:00pm to 10:00pm every day. Prices are printed by size (Large, Regular, GF MED, Lungo and GF LRG), and the first price shown is the Large. The Margherita is listed as tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil, at $27 for the Large; the Vegetarian is listed as tomato, mozzarella, capsicum, mushroom and kalamata olives, at $28 for the Large; and the Hawaiian has shaved ham and pineapple, at $29 for the Large. The Wednesday Night Special is “Any 2 Large Pizzas for $36”, pick-up only.
On the menu (copied from qmpizza.com.au on 3 October 2026):
- Margherita: $27
- Wednesday Night Special: $36
- Vegetarian: $28
- Hawaiian: $29
The classic: the Margherita, listed as tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil, at $27 for the Large.
Picasso’s Family Restaurant — 469 Hampton Street, Hampton VIC 3188
Picasso’s own site lists Tuesday to Sunday 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with Monday closed. Its only pizza reference is a photo caption reading “Classic Margherita pizza with tomato and mozzarella”. The site’s /menu address returned a not-found page when we read it, so there is no menu or price here. The Good Food Guide lists the features “Child Friendly”, “Fully Licensed” and “Takeaway”.
BYO / takeaway: the Good Food Guide lists Takeaway; BYO is not stated.
Barbalu’s Pizza & Pasta — 34 Bay Road, Sandringham VIC 3191
Barbalu’s is in Sandringham, not Hampton. Its own site lists 4pm to 9pm every day and says its pizza and pasta recipes “originate from Southern Italy”, which is the venue’s claim, not ours. It offers pick-up and delivery to a list of suburbs that includes Hampton and Hampton East, and says vegetarian options and gluten free pizza bases are available. Its name is spelled three ways across our sources (Babalu’s, Barbalus and Barbalu’s), so the street address is the safer search.
BYO / takeaway: pick-up and delivery, per its site; BYO is not stated.

How we checked
We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources on 3 October 2026: OpenStreetMap, the places’ own websites, the Australian Good Food Guide, dabelcibo.com.au and sandringhamvillage.org.au. Every price is copied exactly as printed on the page linked under Sources, on 3 October 2026. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go.
