Breakfast in Hoppers Crossing: Three Places Checked

Correction (3 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources between 2 October 2026 and 3 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.

Three places made it onto this page, and all three are on Old Geelong Road in Hoppers Crossing. That is the whole list: we would rather show three we can stand behind than pad it with names we could not confirm.

Two are cafes and one is a Vietnamese bakery, so the real question for brekkie is sweet, savoury or a roll. Each entry below says what the venue’s own pages print and where we hit a wall, such as a menu that is only an image or a site that would not open.

Morris + Heath — 13/24-48 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing VIC 3029

Morris + Heath’s website describes the place as “Takeaway specialty coffee, breakfast, brunch & lunch in Hoppers Crossing.” Its menu is published as an image on the homepage, and the prices below are copied from that image. The same image prints a 10% weekend surcharge and a 15% public-holiday surcharge, so a Saturday or Sunday bill runs higher than the numbers below.

The savoury end is simple: eggs on toast, plain toast and an avo toast, which is smashed avocado on toast. The same menu has a kids list that includes egg on toast, banana nutella toast and pancake with maple and icecream, so a table with children has options. The menu also shows a coffee provider’s logo, but the name was not legible to us, so we do not name a roaster for this cafe.

On the menu (copied from morrisandheath.com on 2 October 2026):

  • Eggs on toast: $15
  • Kids egg on toast: $9
  • Toast: $9
  • Avo Toast: $25

The order: Eggs on toast, $15 on the menu image, is the plain savoury pick; avo toast at $25 is the dearest of the four lines printed here.

Jock & Mack — 31 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing VIC 3029

Jock & Mack’s homepage calls it “a modern Australian cafe serving breakfast, brunch and lunch all day.” It also says “If you have a sweet tooth we have all the cakes, slices, donuts, cinnamon scrolls, biscuits, brownies”, so the sweet side of the fork is covered in the cabinet.

Visit Werribee’s listing adds the facilities: alfresco or outdoor dining, a carpark, family friendly, delivery and takeaway. The cafe’s menu is an image on its site that we could not read, so we have no dishes or prices to print. The homepage and Visit Werribee also differ on Sundays, so check the day before you go.

Roaster: the homepage says “We offer Melbourne roaster - Axil Coffee.”

The Baker’s Son — Hoppers Crossing Shopping Centre, 24 Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing VIC 3029

The Baker’s Son is the odd one out: a bakery rather than a cafe. The shopping centre’s directory lists it as a tenant at 24 Old Geelong Road (OpenStreetMap tags it 50 Old Geelong Road), and the OpenStreetMap entry describes it as a “Vietnamese bakery selling banh mi, rolls, sandwiches and cakes.” The centre’s what-to-eat article calls it “Perfect for a quick lunch,” which is a lunch line rather than a breakfast one.

A banh mi is a Vietnamese bread roll with a filling, so this is the savoury roll option on the page. OpenStreetMap also tags its cuisine “breakfast;coffee”. The bakery’s own site would not load for us on 2 October 2026, so we could not read a menu or prices.

Go for: a roll or a sandwich from the range the listings name, and ask at the counter what is on that day.

Which of these has breakfast prices I can check?

Morris + Heath, whose menu image prints eggs on toast at $15 and avo toast at $25. Jock & Mack’s menu is an image we could not read, and The Baker’s Son’s own site would not open for us.

Which cafe names its coffee roaster?

Jock & Mack’s homepage says it offers Melbourne roaster Axil Coffee. Morris + Heath’s menu shows a coffee provider’s logo, but we could not read the name.

Is there a kids breakfast option?

Morris + Heath’s menu lists kids items, including a kids egg on toast at $9, banana nutella toast and pancake with maple and icecream. Visit Werribee lists Jock & Mack as family friendly.

How we checked

We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources between 2 October 2026 and 3 October 2026: OpenStreetMap, the places’ own websites, visitwerribee.com, hopperscrossingshoppingcentre.com.au, restaurantguru.com and thewestsider.com.au. Every price is copied exactly as printed on the page linked under Sources, on 2 October 2026. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The photos are illustrative, from Unsplash: they show the kind of food or place, not the places on this page.
