Even a sparse pizza menu is making a statement: the description gives the style, the small print gives the dough, and the price is placed in the corner. This page covers five places for pizza in and around Keilor: two in Keilor, one in Kealba and two in Taylors Lakes.
Each place was checked against its own website plus a second source such as the Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) or OpenStreetMap. Where a venue makes a claim about dough or an oven, we quote it as the venue’s claim. Where a menu would not load, we say so rather than guess.
The five are a pizzeria, a family restaurant, two pubs and a takeaway shop, so the answer to ‘best’ depends on whether you want a sit-down dough story, a weekday deal or a pickup order.

Paesino Pizzeria — 12D Kennedy Street, Keilor VIC 3036
Paesino Pizzeria is the place on this page that talks most about dough. Its site says the dough is ‘meticulously prepared in-house through a double-fermentation process that spans 48 hours’ (a long, slow rise, which is the venue’s own claim, not ours). The same site lists gluten free pizza bases and gluten free pasta, but says it is not certified gluten free or celiac friendly.
Its What’s on page’s Thursday deal lists $20 pizzas, $5 beers, $10 house wines and $12 spritzes. Its site lists hours of 5pm - 9pm Tues - Sat, while AGFG shows different days, so check before you go.

The style: The site describes a double-fermented in-house dough, but we could not read a published pizza menu, so we do not name a pizza style for it.
Slices Restaurant Keilor — 920 Old Calder Hwy, Keilor VIC 3036
Slices describes its food as running ‘from sharing plates to traditional Italian pasta and pizzas’, so this is a family restaurant first and a pizza place second. Its site lists hours of Monday-Sunday 9am-9.30pm and says the Keilor site is family friendly with a playground.
Slices advertises $16 Large Classic Pizzas (Thursday) on its group home page. That is a daily deal from the Slices group, not a price confirmed as set by Keilor alone. The site also offers a drive-thru for meals on the go.

Menu tells: The Keilor menu loads through an ordering tool we could not read, so the Thursday deal is the only pizza price we can quote.
Kealba Hotel — Cnr Sunshine Avenue & Main Road East, Kealba VIC 3021
Kealba Hotel is the pub on this page for which we quote no pizza price. What we could read is the Kealba Bistro menu PDF, which prints GARLIC BREAD (V) at $8 and CHICKEN PARMA at $29.
Its site lists bistro dinner from 5:30PM to 8:30PM, Monday to Thursday, and mentions an indoor playground and a what’s-on offer of one kids meal for each main purchased. Treat it as a pub-meal stop and check the bistro menu PDF for pizza before you go.

Verdict for: Families who want a pub bistro with a playground; we quote no pizza price for it here.
Taylors Lakes Hotel — 7 Melton Highway, Taylors Lakes VIC 3038
Taylors Lakes Hotel is the pub with the strongest pizza wording. AGFG says it is ‘best known for delicious favorites, wood fired pizza and daily specials’, and the hotel’s own site says its bistro, JBJ’s, is well known for contemporary food and wood fired pizza (wood fired, in general use, means baked in a wood-burning oven).
The menu PDF prints MARGHERITA (V) (GFA) at $22 and CAPRICCIOSA (GFA) at $25. JBJ’s Bistro hours on its site run Sunday - Thursday 12:00PM - 2:30PM and 5:30PM - 8:30PM.

The classic: The Margherita (a simple tomato, mozzarella and basil pizza) is tagged (V) and (GFA) on the menu PDF, which we read as vegetarian with a gluten free option.
Pizza Depot Taylors Lakes — 1/3 Melton Hwy, Taylors Lakes VIC 3038
Pizza Depot is a takeaway shop, and its ordering page shows pickup and delivery plus a Vegan Pizzas category. The ordering page prints $16.99 for the Margarita and $20.00 for the Vegan Margarita, with no size printed on the pizza cards.
Its site lists Mon - Thur 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm, Fri - Sat 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm and Sun 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm. The site footer is dated 2025, so confirm prices when you order.
