Cheap is a number, so here are the numbers. Everything below is a pub special or a weeknight deal at a place in or near Kew, copied from the venue’s own site or menu on 2 October 2026, with the day it runs wherever the venue prints one. Two of the five are in Kew and Kew East. The other three are in Hawthorn, the next suburb over.
Most of the deals are a parma night. A parma is a crumbed chicken schnitzel under napoli sauce and melted cheese, and a pot is the small Victorian beer glass, about 285ml. The board changes, so ring ahead if a deal is the reason you are going.

Postmaster Hotel — 186 High Street, Kew VIC 3101
The board: the venue’s own site says “Our famous chicken parma! Available for $20 every Tuesday night from 5pm”. Its May 2026 menu lists the chicken parmigiana at $31, so Tuesday is the night to order one.
What it is: a pub that says it is dining “in the historic Kew Post Office building est. 1888”.
The move: the Tuesday parma, $20.
Harp of Erin Hotel — 636 High Street, Kew East VIC 3102
The board: the food menu lists “PARMA & POT – $17” with the days printed under it: “Every Wednesday Lunch 12-3pm”, “Every Wednesday Dinner 5.30-9pm” and “Every Sunday Night 5.30-9pm”. The steak sanga (a steak sandwich) is $15.90, the Harp burger is $18.90, and a bowl of chips with tomato sauce is $8.
What it is: the pub’s site says its bistro is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
The move: the Wednesday or Sunday-night parma and pot, $17.
Amalfi Pizza & Pasta Hawthorn — 4/813 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn VIC 3122
The deals: its ordering page says “Large Classic Pizza for just $14. Available every Monday only.”, “Enjoy freshly made pasta for only $16 every Tuesday.” and “Every Wednesday, enjoy any parmi for just $19”.
Late: store hours on the ordering page run into the early hours; Monday and Tuesday are listed as 11:30am to 2:45am. Confirm the closing time on the night.
The move: Monday’s large classic pizza, $14.
Nevermind Bar — 336 Burwood Road, Hawthorn VIC 3122
Under a tenner: the bar’s site lists a special for each weeknight and repeats three on Sunday (“Sunday - $3 Tacos, $15 Parmas, $10 Burgers, Open Mic from 7pm”): “Monday - $1 Wings, $9 Pizzas”, “Tuesday - $ 3 Tacos, Drag Bingo, Drag Karaoke, DJ’s ’til Late”, “Wednesday - $15 Parmas, Trivia” and “Thursday - $10 Burgers, Uno World Championship, Comedy Night”. The Tuesday tacos at $3 and the Monday wings at $1 are the lowest prices on this page.
Late: its gigs page says “Nevermind bar is licensed until 3am”.
Check first: the bar’s food menu is an undated PDF, so confirm the specials with the venue before you plan a night around them.
The move: Monday, $9 pizzas.
The Beehive Hotel — 84 Barkers Road, Hawthorn VIC 3122
The deals: the pub’s site lists “$26 PARMA & FREE POT OR VINO” on Tuesday from 5pm and “$21 SMASH BURGERS” on Thursday from 5pm. A smash burger is a thin patty pressed hard on the grill, and vino is wine.
Hours as listed: the page gives two versions. One says “Monday to Thursday 11:30am to 10:00pm, Friday to Saturday 11:30am to late, and Sunday 11:30am to 10:00pm”, the other “MONDAY - SUNDAY: 12PM - LATE”. Check the night.
The move: the Tuesday parma with the free pot or vino, $26.

Nevermind Bar’s food menu is undated, so its specials are the least certain on the page, and The Beehive’s page gives two sets of hours.
