Correction (10 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 9 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.

This page reports menu markers exactly as printed and listing tags exactly as shown, and nothing beyond them. Four places made it through our checks. The Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) lists each with the tag “Vegan Options”.

All four have Mooroolbark street addresses, so none is in Kilsyth itself. That AGFG tag is a listing feature. It is not a certification, and it does not tell you which dishes are covered or how the kitchen handles them.

We read no kitchen statements, such as a dedicated fryer or a shared kitchen, for any of the four. Each entry ends with one question to put to the venue.

Manna Lane — 79B Brice Avenue, Mooroolbark VIC 3138

AGFG lists Manna Lane with the tag “Vegan Options”, alongside “Child Friendly”, “Takeaway”, “Breakfast”, “Alfresco Dining” and “Free Wifi”. The cafe’s own menu prints a (V) next to the Korean glass noodle, which it describes as capsicum, cabbage, spinach and sesame with a side of kimchi, at $19.

The other menu lines we copied carry no (V) marker. Eggs your way is $13 and Egg and bacon roll is $15. The pages we read carry no date, so check the menu is current. We did not record opening hours.

Ask: what the (V) marker covers on this menu before you order.

Flavor of India — 60 Brice Avenue, Mooroolbark VIC 3138

AGFG lists Flavor of India with the tags “Vegan Options”, “Child Friendly” and “Takeaway”. The restaurant’s own site lists dine-in hours of 5:00pm to 9:30pm every day except Monday, when it lists the restaurant as closed.

We did not record a menu or any prices for this restaurant, so we cannot say which dishes the tag covers, and we have printed no amounts.

Fully plant-based or options: options only, going by the AGFG tag, since no source we read describes the menu as fully plant-based.

Pimaan Thai Cuisine — 46 Manchester Road, Mooroolbark VIC 3138

AGFG lists Pimaan Thai Cuisine with the tags “Vegan Options”, “BYO”, “Child Friendly” and “Takeaway”. BYO means you bring your own alcohol, and the tag is the owner’s listing.

The menu describes Vegetable Curry Puffs (4pcs) at $12 as potatoes, onion and vegetables in curry powder wrapped in puff pastry, served with sweet chilli sauce. Chicken Curry Puffs (4pcs) are $13. Garlic roti bread with satay sauce is $5.10, and Thai Fish Cakes (5pcs) (Imported) are $13. The menu lines we copied carry no vegan marker, and we did not record opening hours.

Ask: whether the vegetable curry puffs and the sauces served with them are made without animal products.

Dough Machine — 61 Brice Avenue, Mooroolbark VIC 3138

AGFG lists Dough Machine with the tags “Vegan Options”, “Child Friendly” and “Takeaway”. The shop’s own site lists Monday as closed, Tuesday and Wednesday as 5:00pm - 9:30pm, and Thursday as 5:00pm - 10:00pm.

The same site lists Friday and Saturday as 3:30pm - 10:30pm and Sunday as 3:30pm - 9:30pm. We did not record a price list for this shop, so no amounts are printed.

Ask: which items on the current menu can be made vegan, since the AGFG tag does not say.

Quick answers

Is there a fully vegan place on this page?

Not that we could confirm. AGFG tags all four places with “Vegan Options”, and none of the sources we read describes any of them as fully plant-based.

What does the AGFG tag “Vegan Options” tell you?

It is a listing feature on AGFG. It tells you the venue presents itself as having vegan choices; it does not name the dishes, certify them or describe the kitchen.

Which menu lines carry a (V) marker?

Of the menu lines we copied, only Manna Lane’s Korean glass noodle (V) at $19 carries one. Ask the cafe what the marker covers.

Is any of this in Kilsyth itself?

No. All four places have Mooroolbark street addresses, so check the suburb in each heading before you plan the trip.

How we checked

We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources on 9 October 2026: OpenStreetMap, the Australian Good Food Guide and the places’ own websites. Every price is copied exactly as printed on the page linked under Sources, on 9 October 2026. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The cover photo is illustrative, from Unsplash, and does not show any place on this page.
