Every cafe here is checked for the basics first: what it serves in the morning, what the menu prints, and which roaster it names. Six places in and around Macleod made the list: one in Macleod, three in Rosanna, one in Bundoora and one in Greensborough.
Two of them name a roaster on their own sites. For the rest, the sources we read are silent, so the roaster line says so. Prices appear only where a menu printed them, and hours say whose listing they come from. Sweet or savoury, pick a lane.

Touchstone Cafe — 1/30 Aberdeen Road, Macleod VIC 3085
Touchstone Cafe is the one place here inside Macleod. AGFG tags it Breakfast, Child Friendly and Vegan Options. The cafe’s home page prints weekday and weekend hours, but another page on its site prints different ones, so check before you go. The menu is two images, so we could not read prices.
Go for: the Macleod address, once you have confirmed the hours.
Petite Fille Cafe — 2 Station Road, Rosanna VIC 3084
Petite Fille Cafe lists an all-day breakfast, with the kitchen closing at 2:00. Its site gives hours of 7:30 AM to 3 PM on weekdays and 8 AM to 3 PM on weekends. At Petite Fille Cafe the menu prints EGGS BENEDICT $24. For the sweet side, Petite Fille Cafe’s menu prints FRENCH TOAST $21.

Miss Marie Cafe — 45 Beetham Parade, Rosanna VIC 3084
Miss Marie Cafe is on Beetham Parade in Rosanna. Its site says it serves signature dishes for breakfast, brunch or lunch, with quality Five Senses coffee. AGFG lists 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM on weekends. We lean on AGFG for hours because the cafe’s own site carries unrelated template text, and we could not read a menu.

Cafe Lucio — Bundoora Square, 9/27-31 Plenty Road, Bundoora VIC 3083
Cafe Lucio is in Bundoora Square on Plenty Road. AGFG tags it Breakfast, Child Friendly and Takeaway. Hours come from a directory-style listing at cafe-lucio.jany.io, which shows a 6 am weekday start and a 6:30 am Saturday start, and AGFG differs, so call to check. We could not find a menu or prices.
Go for: an early start, if that listing is right.
Mabel Jones — 67 Grimshaw Street, Greensborough VIC 3088
Mabel Jones is in Greensborough, at the edge of the area. Its site lists an all-day breakfast and lunch menu from 8am to 2:30pm, with open hours of 8:00am to 3:00pm. It names Axil Coffee Roasters for its coffee. Mabel Jones’s Bottomless Brunch is $70, available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am, per the site.

Four Leaves Cafe Food Store — 37 Greville Road, Rosanna VIC 3084
Four Leaves Cafe Food Store, on Greville Road in Rosanna, describes itself as a cafe, delicatessen, bakery, wine shop and provedore. Its site calls it the top destination for specialty coffee and modern Australian brunch in Rosanna, which is the venue’s own claim, not a ranking. Listed hours are Mon–Fri 6:30am to 2:30pm, Saturday 7:30am to 2:00pm and Sunday 8:00am to 2:00pm. The site notes a Sunday surcharge and closure on Victorian public holidays.
