Planning a date by stage is easier when the facts are lined up first. This page covers six places in and around Macleod: two in Rosanna, two in Greensborough, one in Bundoora and one in Watsonia. Each one is a sit-down dinner or a drink, and this page does not assume alcohol is on the agenda.
Everything below comes from what the places publish: their own sites, the Australian Good Food Guide and OpenStreetMap. Where a venue does not publish something, such as a menu or accessibility details, we say we could not find it rather than guess. Plan B for each stage is the device line under every place.

Mazaj Lebanese Restaurant & Lounge (Rosanna) — 248 Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna VIC 3084
Mazaj’s site describes a dedicated shisha lounge and mocktail bar at its Rosanna location, which suits a date that does not hinge on a drink in hand. The menu prints tabouli salad (VG) at $18 and hommos (VG) (GF) at $14, so a few shared dips make a gentle start. Its site lists 5:00pm to 10:00pm Monday to Wednesday and 12:00pm to 10:30pm Thursday to Sunday, though the same block also lists Sunday with a 10:00pm close, so confirm before you head over. We could not find accessibility details on its site.

Split or splurge: the menu prints labneh dip (V) (GF) at $12, so splitting a few dips keeps the bill easy on a second or third date.
Eos Greek Tavern — 83 Grimshaw Street, Greensborough VIC 3088
Eos Greek Tavern lists trading hours of Tuesday to Sunday, 5pm till late, on its own site. AGFG tags it with Alfresco Dining, Gluten Free Options and Vegan Options. The dine-in menu prints Mixed Dips at $25 and Saganaki at $17.50, which is plenty to share across a table.

Exit plan: the site also lists dine-in, delivery and take away, so if the night fizzles you can order from Eos at home instead, though check that online ordering is working first.
La Salita — 1 Scholar Drive, Bundoora VIC 3083
La Salita is in Bundoora, a little further out than the rest of this list. Its site lists Tuesday to Friday from 5:00pm to late and Saturday to Sunday from 12:00pm to late, with a Reservations link in its menu bar. The menu prints Carbonara at $25.00 and Margherita at $20.00, and AGFG tags it Alfresco Dining and Gluten Free Options.

Stage: a second or third date when you are happy to make the trip for a sit-down Italian dinner, or a weekend arvo given the early weekend start its site lists.
Infuse Greensborough — 91 Grimshaw Street, Greensborough VIC 3088
Infuse’s site lists 11:30am to 3:00pm and 5:00pm till late, Monday to Sunday. It shows a Happy Hour page, and AGFG tags BYO and Alfresco Dining, so ask the venue about the BYO terms. The menu prints Edamame Bean (GF) (VE) at $10 and Thai Spiced BBQ Pork at $22.

Talk-ability: the site pitches its large venue as perfect for groups of any size, so ask when you ring what a table for two looks like.
Watsonia Wine Bar — 3-5 Watsonia Road, Watsonia VIC 3087
Watsonia Wine Bar is a listing-only find: we confirmed it on OpenStreetMap and AGFG, but could not find a website, menu, prices or wine list. AGFG lists Wednesday 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Sunday 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Those hours may be out of date, and since we found no menu, plan dinner somewhere else on the page.
Exit plan: treat it as a drink before or after dinner, and ring ahead because the hours come from a listing only.
Mexican Taco — 133 Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna VIC 3084
Mexican Taco’s site lists Monday closed and 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM Tuesday to Sunday, and offers a Make a reservation option. It advertises Taco Tuesday, “Get 3 tacos for the price of 2 every Tuesday”, and Margarita Wednesday, “Buy 1 margarita and get the second one free every Wednesday”. AGFG tags it Alfresco Dining and Child Friendly. The menu prints two prices per item and the site does not say why, so ask which one applies.

Watsonia Wine Bar is listed on OpenStreetMap and AGFG, and AGFG lists Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. We could not find a website, menu, prices or wine list, so check the hours with the venue and plan dinner at one of the other places on this page.
