Correction (5 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 5 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.
The list is brief, and that is deliberate. Three places had enough on the public record for us to stand behind them, and none of the three is in Montmorency itself: all are in neighbouring Eltham. We verified no venue inside Montmorency that lists live music.
Two of the three list live music: Prosciutto Bros, whose own site names Friday and Saturday nights, and the Eltham Hotel, which the Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) tags with “Live Music”. The third, the Eltham Community and Reception Centre, is a council venue with an amphitheatre for concerts and performing arts. We captured no acts, set times or capacity figures for any of them, so this page does not list any.

Prosciutto Bros — 31 Peel Street, Eltham VIC 3095
Prosciutto Bros’ site says “Live music every Friday & Saturday night, always bringing the dance floor to life.” The same site describes “20 Craft Beer taps and a great wine list to match” and a wood fired oven where pizzas are cooked. The listed hours are Tuesday to Friday 5pm - late, Saturdays 12pm - late and Sunday 12pm - 5pm. AGFG shows different Sunday hours, so we used the site. The site footer reads “Copyright 2017” and the menu PDF is undated, so check that the hours and prices are current.
The menu PDF prints the MARGHERITA (AV) at $23 (“Tomato, cheese & oregano.”), the SPESH at $28 (“Tomato, cheese, basil & Prosciutto.”), the GARLIC PIZZA at $22 and the TRIO OF DIPS (AGF) at $18.

Gig nights: Friday and Saturday per the site, and the Saturday arvo hours start at 12pm; the site names no acts or set times that we captured.
Eltham Hotel — 746 Main Road, Eltham VIC 3095
AGFG lists “Live Music” as a feature of the Eltham Hotel. We captured no gig dates, so we cannot say which nights. The hotel’s own site lists general opening hours of Sun - Wed 10:00am - 01:00am and Thurs - Sat 10:00am - 03:00am, and prints separate hours for its Sports Bar and Bistro that differ from the general hours, so check which part of the hotel is open late. It describes a Terrace with “our deck and outdoor area, with full menu available”, and a Sports Bar “with TV screens and plenty of lounges to relax on”. Its menus are not available as text, so we have no prices to quote.
Gig nights: AGFG’s “Live Music” tag is the only live music source we have, so ring the hotel for the program.
Eltham Community and Reception Centre — 801 Main Road, Eltham VIC 3095
The Nillumbik Shire Council page says the venue is “Set amidst five acres of native gardens” and offers “three impressive areas suitable for weddings, dinners, seminars, art shows and displays”. It adds that “A landscaped amphitheatre provides a distinctive viewing area to enjoy concerts and performing arts activities.” The centre is listed as a council venue for hire, not a drop-in venue, and we found no public hours or ticket prices.
Capacity / stage: the council describes a landscaped amphitheatre but prints no capacity in the text we read, so ask the council before you plan anything.
