A date wants a table, a menu you can read before you commit, and an easy way to say it is time to go. This page sorts five sit-down Mount Waverley restaurants by what their own pages publish: evening hours where we could read them, prices as printed, and any access line a listing carries. It does not rate the mood, because the pages we read do not describe how loud or quiet any room is.
All five addresses are in Mount Waverley. Where hours conflict, or a menu was only an image, we say so rather than guess. Plan B for every pick is the same: ring first, because hours and menus change.

Proud Peacock — 28 Hamilton Place, Mount Waverley VIC 3149
Proud Peacock is listed on OpenStreetMap as a Vietnamese restaurant. Its own site lists dinner from 5:30pm to 10:00pm, Tuesday to Saturday, with lunch from 11:30am to 3:00pm, and Sunday listed for lunch only. Its menu page includes pork dumplings at $17.00, vegan dumplings at $17.00 and bun bo hue at $20.00. Bun bo hue is a spicy beef noodle soup from Hue, so it suits someone who wants a bowl rather than a shared plate. Treat these prices as indicative and confirm them when you book.

Mango Tree Thai (Mount Waverley) — 315 Stephensons Road, Mount Waverley VIC 3149
Mango Tree Thai’s site says it opened in November 2015 and calls itself a “simple & authentic Thai dining experience”. The same site lists dinner Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm, with last orders at 9.20pm, and lunch Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm to 2.30pm. The menu pages on its site are images, so we could not copy a price and we print none. Ask what a main costs when you book.

Great Eastern Hakka Restaurant — 319 Stephensons Road, Mount Waverley VIC 3149
Great Eastern Hakka’s site describes a menu where “the flavours of Indian style Chinese food and Swedish food combine to present you with our eclectic menu”. Its listed hours are Tuesday to Thursday 5-10pm and Sunday 5-9:30pm, with two seatings on Friday and Saturday evenings: 5-7:30pm and 7:30-10:30pm. It adds that the kitchen closes half an hour before closing time. On the menu, chilli chicken is $24 and is stir fried with fresh hot chillies, spring onion and onion in soy sauce, and fried rice with chicken is $21 and comes with eggs. Banana fritters with ice cream are $9.50 for dessert. Check the site’s notes on minimum spend and surcharges before you book.

Siam Village Thai Restaurant — 63 Centreway (Pinewood Shopping Centre), Mount Waverley VIC 3149
AGFG places Siam Village Thai Restaurant in the Pinewood Shopping Centre on Centreway. AGFG lists lunch and dinner sessions, including dinner from 5:00 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday, but a DoorDash page showed different hours when we checked, so confirm before you go. AGFG’s tags include “Disabled Access”, “Fully Licensed” and “Vegetarian Options”. The prices below are DoorDash platform prices, not the restaurant’s own. Pad Thai with chicken is $24.90 and green curry with chicken is $24.90. Massaman is a rich, spiced curry, and the beef version is $28.60.

Okami Japanese Restaurant Mount Waverley — 29-31 Centreway (Pinewood Shopping Village), Mount Waverley VIC 3149
Okami’s site calls it a “Family Style Japanese Restaurant” and says it is “an essentially family and group gathering friendly venue”. For a table for two, that is worth a question about the room when you book. The page prints one price per person: all you can eat for an adult is $42.80/person, for a child aged 9-12 it is $25.80/person, for a child aged 4-8 it is $20.80/person, and children aged 0-3 are free. Chicken katsu don is $18.80 and is described as crispy breadcrumbed chicken on rice. The page also lists BYO conditions and a public-holiday surcharge, so read those first. Its store page lists dinner Tuesday to Thursday 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 5:00 pm – 10:30 pm and Sunday 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm, plus Sunday lunch 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm; Monday is closed and the kitchen closes before the room, so ask when you book.
