Correction (3 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources between 2 October 2026 and 3 October 2026.
You will find this page brief, and we kept it that way deliberately. We could verify one Japanese eatery for this search, Ozzi Sushi, plus the shopping centre it trades inside. Both are in Wheelers Hill, so the page says “in and around Mulgrave” and each heading carries its own suburb.
We could not read a menu or a price for either, so this page prints no dollar amounts. What it does have is hours, addresses and what the venues say about themselves. If you know a Japanese place near Mulgrave that belongs here, the email address at the bottom is the way to tell us.
The quick picks
| If you’re after | Head to | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Sushi takeaway with weekday and weekend hours listed | Ozzi Sushi | Shop 019, Brandon Park Dr (inside Brandon Park Shopping Centre), Wheelers Hill |
| The centre’s own store directory, with late trading listed for two days | HomeCo. Brandon Park (Brandon Park Shopping Centre) | 580 Ferntree Gully Road, Wheelers Hill |
Ozzi Sushi — Shop 019, Brandon Park Dr (inside Brandon Park Shopping Centre), Wheelers Hill VIC 3150
Ozzi Sushi’s own site lists its trading hours as “Mon to Wed 9:00-5:30 / Thur & Fri 9:00-6:30 / Sat & Sun 9:00-5:00”. It headlines “FRESH SUSHI EVERYDAY” and says “We prepare our sushi every morning, ensuring every bite is clean, fresh, and full of flavour.” That is the shop’s own description, and we have not tasted any of it.
When we read it on 3 October, the centre’s store directory also listed Ozzi Sushi, with Sat 3 Oct 9am - 5pm and the phone number 03 9561 8382. The two sources agreed on that Saturday’s hours. The menu pages we read on its site did not show prices.
Decoder: sushi is vinegared rice with a topping or filling. Nori is the dried seaweed sheet that wraps a roll. For a specific order, the phone number above is the way to ask.
How to order: the hours differ by day, with the shortest on Sat and Sun, so plan around the 5:00 finish on weekends.
HomeCo. Brandon Park (Brandon Park Shopping Centre) — 580 Ferntree Gully Road, Wheelers Hill VIC 3150
This is the centre that Ozzi Sushi trades inside. Its own site gives the address as 580 Ferntree Gully Road, Wheelers Hill. When we read it on 3 October, the store directory listed Ozzi Sushi and Sakae Sushi, both with Sat 3 Oct hours of 9am - 5pm. It listed the centre’s week from that day as Sat 3 Oct 9am - 5pm, Sun 4 Oct 10am - 5pm, Mon 5 Oct 9am - 5:30pm, Tue 6 Oct 9am - 5:30pm, Wed 7 Oct 9am - 5:30pm, Thu 8 Oct 9am - 9pm and Fri 9 Oct 9am - 9pm.
Sakae Sushi shows up on the directory with hours but nothing else we could verify, so it is named here and not described. Trading hours vary by store, so check the one you are going to.
Menu says: the directory is a list of stores and hours, not menus, so there is nothing to quote on food from this page.
Order this first: no menu to order from here. If sushi is the plan, Ozzi Sushi’s own site is the place to start.
Quick answers
Is there Japanese food in Mulgrave itself?
Not among the places we could verify. Both places on this page are at Brandon Park, Wheelers Hill VIC 3150. If you know of a Japanese eatery with a Mulgrave address, tell us and we will check it.
What are Ozzi Sushi’s opening hours?
Its own site lists Mon to Wed 9:00-5:30, Thur & Fri 9:00-6:30 and Sat & Sun 9:00-5:00. The centre’s directory showed Sat 3 Oct 9am - 5pm when we read it on 3 October, which matched the Saturday listing.
Can I see prices before I go?
Not from the pages we read. The menu pages on its site did not show prices, so we print none. Ringing the shop is the quickest way to find out.
Is the shopping centre open late?
When we read it on 3 October, the directory listed Thu 8 Oct 9am - 9pm and Fri 9 Oct 9am - 9pm. The other days in that week finished at 5pm or 5:30pm, and trading hours vary by store.
How we checked
We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources between 2 October 2026 and 3 October 2026: the places’ own websites and OpenStreetMap. We copied no menu prices from these places’ own pages, so this page prints none. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The cover photo is illustrative, from Unsplash, and does not show any place on this page.
