Five cafes, one question: where do you get breakfast or brunch around Nunawading? Three are in Nunawading and two are in Mitcham, so this is an in-and-around list.
Every entry is built from the cafe’s own menu or listing, plus AGFG and OpenStreetMap. Hours say whose listing they come from, and prices are copied as printed. None of the sources we read named a roaster, so we name none.
Decide between sweet and savoury first, then look at opening hours. Not every cafe here lists every day.

Miss Lucy — 133 Central Road, Nunawading VIC 3131
Miss Lucy’s own site says it sits on the edge of the Blackburn Lake Sanctuary. Its menu prints LUCY’S BENEDICT (V/LG) $22.90 and BACON & EGG ROLL (LG) $15.90. For the sweet side, Miss Lucy’s menu prints BROWNIE/CAKES $8.90. Its site lists trading hours as SUN-FRI 8AM - 5PM, closed Saturdays and public holidays.

The Peddler Cafe’s Facebook page calls it your local friendly cafe serving speciality coffee and delicious brunch. AGFG lists a superfood salad with brown rice, quinoa, shredded kale, broccolini, beetroot, carrot, mixed seeds, cranberries, walnuts, halloumi and pomegranate dressing. AGFG’s hours for The Peddler Cafe show Tuesday to Sunday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Monday closed. We could not read any prices.

Cafe Blanc (Aromalily) — 93 Mount Pleasant Road, Nunawading VIC 3131
Cafe Blanc’s own site says it features all-day breakfasts, gourmet lunch options and freshly baked desserts. Its menu prints BACON & EGG ROLL $9.50 and EGGS YOUR WAY WITH TOAST (V,GF) $12. For a bigger plate, Cafe Blanc’s menu prints BIG BREAKFAST $24.90. Its site lists Monday-Saturday 7.30am - 3.30pm and Sunday 7.30am - 2.30pm.

Its menu prints EGGS + TOAST $14.50, EGG & BACON ROLL $16.50 and TOAST + TOPPINGS $8.90. Its site lists Mon-Thu 7:00-4:00, Fri-Sat 7:00-4:30 and Sunday 7:00-4:00. It also lists Gluten free available.

Project Black’s Facebook intro lists Specialty Coffee, Tea, Chocolates, All Day Breakfast and Brunch. The same intro lists Mon-Fri 7am-2pm, Sat 8am-2pm and Sun & Holidays 8am-1pm. The newest Facebook post we saw was from August, so check it is still trading before you go. We could not read any prices.
Roaster: We found no roaster named in the sources we read for Project Black.

AGFG tags The Peddler Cafe as Child Friendly, and tags Project Black as Child Friendly too. Miss Lucy’s site lists a Childrens Menu. Dark Horse Mitcham’s menu lists a KIDS TOASTIE with ham + cheese. Cafe Blanc’s site says all kids’ meals include milkshake, hot chocolate or babycino.
Is there a breakfast cafe near Nunawading with vegan options?
Cafe Blanc’s site says it also offers vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. Miss Lucy’s menu prints VE: Vegan option available on request. Dark Horse Mitcham’s site lists Gluten free available, but we found vegan only as add-ons there, so we do not tag it vegan.
