It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources between 2 October 2026 and 3 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.
Takeaway is a format, not a cuisine. This page covers Oakleigh places that sell food you can carry out: souva, Thai, toasties, banh mi and fish and chips. Six places made the list, every one with an Oakleigh street address, and each was confirmed at two sources.
Four of the six print prices somewhere we could read them, and those prices are copied under each heading. Two did not. PT Roll Bakery’s menu is an image, and Oakleigh Fish & Chippery keeps its items on an order page where we could not read prices, so those two carry no amounts. Read the board, pick a feed, and check hours with the venue before you walk over.

Kalimera Souvlaki Art — 41 Chester Street, Oakleigh VIC 3166
The Kalimera Souvlaki Art menu page lists Gyros Pork - Souvlaki at $12 and Gyros Chicken - Souvlaki at $12. The Gyros Pork - Platter is $24 and the Chips are $7. Its own contact page gives the address as 41 Chester Street, while the Oakleigh Traders listing says 43 Chester St with a matching phone number. The contact page lists Sunday – Thursday: 11:00-21:00 and Friday – Saturday: 11:00-22:00, but the site footer gives a different, single set of hours for Monday to Sunday, so ring before a late run.

The move: Gyros Pork - Souvlaki at $12. A gyros is meat shaved off a vertical spit, and a souvlaki here is that meat wrapped up in pita.
Thanadee Thai Restaurant — 20 Portman Street, Oakleigh VIC 3166
Thanadee’s online-ordering page lists Chicken Pad Thai at $13.90 and Chicken Satay Skewers - 4 Pieces at $8.90. Vegetable Green Curry is $13.90 and Chicken Green Curry is $14.90. Its site presents the restaurant as a Thai takeaway option in Oakleigh. When we read the ordering page on 3 October the screen said it was closed for online ordering at that moment, and we did not capture opening hours, so check before you head over.

Uncle Tony — 7-9 Eaton Mall, Oakleigh VIC 3166
Uncle Tony’s homepage menu is a short list of toasties on sourdough. The Uncle Tony is $19 and is built from beef pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss and American cheese and Uncle Tony’s signature sauce. The Wise Guy is $17, with house-made roasted pepper, roasted eggplant, tomato relish and Swiss cheese. The Luca Brasi is $17 with a house-made tuna mix, and The Frank Fungini is $17 with roasted garlic mushrooms and spinach. The site lists Monday – Friday 7.30am – 2.30pm and Saturday 8am – 3pm, and invites you to drop past for toasties, fresh juices and coffee.

The move: The Wise Guy at $17, the roasted pepper and eggplant toastie, for a vegetable pick that carries Swiss cheese.
PT Roll Bakery — 3/52 Atherton Road, Oakleigh VIC 3166
PT Roll Bakery’s site says it is “Serving a blend of traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi and Australian pastries.” It also says “come eat in or takeaway”. The menu on its site is an image, so we could not read prices from it and print none. The site lists Monday - Friday: 6:00am - 5:00pm, Saturday: 7:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday: 7:00am - 2:00pm. Its own contact page gives 3/52 Atherton Road, while the Oakleigh Traders listing says 3/54 Atherton Rd with the same phone number.
What it is: banh mi is a Vietnamese bread roll filled with meat, pickled vegetables and herbs, and it is the first thing the site names.
Oakleigh Fish & Chippery — 45 Chester Street, Oakleigh VIC 3166
The site’s pitch is fish and chips, gourmet burgers and savoury souvlakis, and it says Oakleigh Fish & Chippery “has been a cherished part of the community since 1982”. Its order page is script-driven and we could not read item prices from it, so we print none. The site’s own hours say Monday, 11:00 – 20:00, Tuesday 11:00 – 20:00, Wednesday Closed, Thursday 11:00 – 20:00, Friday 11:00 – 21:00, Saturday 11:00 – 21:00 and Sunday 11:00 – 20:00. OpenStreetMap lists Mo-Su 11:00-20:00, which disagrees, so this page follows the venue’s own site. The site’s address fields still held placeholder text, so the street address rests on the Oakleigh Traders listing, which says 45 Chester St.
The move: fish and chips, which is how the site leads. With no readable prices, ask at the counter and ask for minimum chips.
Meat Me Souvlakeri — 24 Eaton Mall, Oakleigh VIC 3166
The Meat Me Souvlakeri menu PDF lists Meat Me Burger and Chips at $27.90 and Greek Burger and Chips at $27.90. Greek Salad is $22 and Tzatziki is $13. The same PDF has Chips at $12 and Pork with pita at $8.50. The site calls it a family friendly Greek restaurant and links a takeaway menu (“VIEW TAKEAWAY MENU”). The PDF is undated, so check the takeaway menu on its site before you order. The site lists Monday to Sunday 10am to 10pm.

Is there a vegetarian option on this list?
Thanadee lists Vegetable Green Curry at $13.90. Uncle Tony lists The Wise Guy at $17, made with house-made roasted pepper, roasted eggplant, tomato relish and Swiss cheese. Those are menu items, not dietary claims, so confirm ingredients with the venue.
Which of these places list Sunday hours?
Four list Sunday on their own sites: Kalimera Souvlaki Art, PT Roll Bakery, Oakleigh Fish & Chippery and Meat Me Souvlakeri. Uncle Tony’s site lists Monday to Friday and Saturday, and Thanadee’s ordering page showed no hours, so check both before you go.
Why do two places have no prices?
PT Roll Bakery’s menu on its site is an image, and Oakleigh Fish & Chippery’s items sit on an order page where we could not read prices. We only print an amount when we can copy it from a page, so for those two the page has none.
