Correction (4 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 4 October 2026, and every price was copied from the page it was published on.

Which cafes near Ormond take their coffee seriously, and what do they say about it themselves? This page covers five places in and around Ormond: three in McKinnon, one in Glen Huntly and one in Caulfield South.

Roasters first. Where a cafe names its roaster on its own site or menu, we say so. Where it does not, we say we could not find one, rather than guess.

Every place was checked at two independent sources, and every price is copied from the page it was published on. Hours are the cafe’s own listing unless we say otherwise, so check before you go.

Go for: an early weekday start, since its site says it is open for coffee and breakfast from 6.00am each weekday.

Remnscnt Cafe — 1212 Glen Huntly Road, Glen Huntly VIC 3163

Remnscnt Cafe’s ordering page calls its coffee signature coffee and prints a Flat White from $4.90. We could not find a roaster named there. It sits in Glen Huntly rather than Ormond. The ordering page lists Tuesday to Saturday from 7:30am to 2pm, Sunday from 8:30am to 2pm and Monday closed.

Mr Brightside is the cafe here that names its roaster on the menu: Allpress Coffee, with Espresso or A.R.T. espresso listed. Its site lists Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm and weekends from 7:30am to 4:00pm. It states that it does not take table reservations. The menu prints the Brightside Benedict at $26.

Laptop policy: its AGFG listing includes Free Wifi among its features, but we found no published laptop policy.

Willim McKinnon — 83 McKinnon Road, McKinnon VIC 3204

Willim McKinnon’s site says it serves specialty Inglewood coffee alongside wholesome breakfasts. Its contact page lists every day from 7:00am to 3:30pm, though its pages do not agree on the closing time, and public holiday times may vary.
