Butter chicken starts as tandoori chicken, simmered in a buttery tomato gravy; mop it up with garlic naan, from $5.50. Chicken biryani is from $23.00, and samosas are from $11.00 for two.

The grill side is where it earns the name: BBQ ribs slow-cooked in a smoky barbecue sauce and finished on the chargrill, with a pork ribs half rack (450g) at $30.90. And because this is Melbourne, there is a parma: the Traditional Parma, with cheese and napoli sauce, is $32.90.

The menu also lists a Birra Taco at $18.00, served with “consome sauce”: birria is the slow-braised, chilli-rich meat from Jalisco, and the broth on the side is for dipping. Bigger appetites go to the chicken burrito ($27.00), baked and served with rice and black beans, or a sizzling fajita platter, listed at $30.00 - $39.00 depending on the filling. Churros are $15.00.

The Cove’s own site describes a family pub on the marina whose bistro has indoor and deck seating, and its bistro menu (the file is dated August 2026) asks you to order at the counter. Beer battered whiting with chips, salad and tartare is $31, a cheeseburger with chips is $25, the 300g porterhouse is $48, and the signature seafood platter for two (including oysters, smoked salmon, prawn skewers, mussels, scallops, whiting and calamari) is $85. The site lists kitchen hours of 11.30am to 8.30pm Sunday to Thursday and to 9pm on Friday and Saturday, and the menu notes a public holiday surcharge.
