La Colmena is at Stall 120A. The market’s trader page says it brings classic pastries from Spain to Australia for the first time. Its own site lists Tue 8am - 4pm, Thu 8am - 4pm, Fri 8am - 5pm, Sat 8am - 5pm and Sun 8am - 4pm; those differ slightly from the market’s, so treat them as a guide.
Go for: Spanish pastries, which is how the market page describes the range.
Little Sister Bakery (Caulfield North) — 93 Orrong Crescent, Caulfield North VIC 3161
Little Sister is at 93 Orrong Crescent, Caulfield North, outside Prahran. The Age says it is one of Good Food’s 100 Essential Melbourne Cafes and Bakeries of 2026. The bakery’s site says the majority of its sourdough selection is vegan friendly, as well as some sweet treats. The Caulfield hours on its site are Wednesday to Friday 7:30 – 3pm and Saturday & Sunday 7:30 –2pm (or until sold out).
Go for: Sourdough, and the same site also lists a South Yarra shop at Vogue Shopping Centre on Chapel Street, so check its page for those hours.
American Doughnut Kitchen (Prahran Market) — Market Square, Prahran Market, 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra VIC 3141
American Doughnut Kitchen is in Market Square, which its site says is best accessed from the Commercial Road entrance. The market’s trader page says the recipe is unchanged since it started and the dough is made fresh the day before trade. Broadsheet has published a first-look article on the Prahran Market stall.
