A dinner out for two goes better when you pick by stage, so this page sorts six sit-down restaurants by what each one publishes. Four are in Richmond and two are in East Melbourne.
Every place was checked against two independent sources when we rebuilt this page: the Australian Good Food Guide, the venue’s own site and OpenStreetMap. AGFG’s Romantic label is a directory tag, not our verdict, so each line says who is speaking.
We could not find published accessibility details for any of the six, so ask when you book. Only Il Duca prints menu prices we could copy, and every venue gets a plan B.

A wine bar name does not mean you have to drink, but we could not find a published drink-free menu, so ask when you book. Its pages carry recent dates, though it is still worth confirming the hours.

Love Letter is on Bridge Road, and AGFG tags it as Romantic, with alfresco dining plus vegetarian and gluten free options. AGFG’s hours listing for Love Letter shows Tuesday to Friday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Saturday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM and Sunday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with Monday closed. Love Letter’s own site carries different hours, including a Sunday line of 4PM - 9:30PM, so confirm the times before you book. AGFG also tags it as Child Friendly, takeaway and delivery, so a night in is a workable plan B.

WAYGOOD’s own site lists Tuesday to Friday from 5.00pm to 11pm and Saturday from 1pm till late. That Saturday listing leaves room for a long, unhurried sit-down. We could not find a priced menu, so there is no dollar figure here.
Exit plan: The site lists an 11pm finish Tuesday to Friday, so you can plan the trip home around a fixed time.
Il Duca — 132 Wellington Pde, East Melbourne VIC 3002

We could not find a priced menu, and the site’s pages carry no year, so confirm it is still trading as listed.
