Tarts Anon — 10/658 Church Street, Richmond VIC 3121
Tarts. That is the whole pitch. The site answers a question about pre-ordering with this: its retail shops serve tarts by the slice, with Square One Coffee and a specialty drinks menu, and no pre-order required.
It sits at the Church Street address above. We have not printed its opening hours, so check its site before you go.

Fritz Gelato — 334 Bridge Road, Richmond VIC 3121
Gelato, plain and simple. Fritz Gelato is on Bridge Road, and its site says “Open 7 days a week”. We could not read a menu with prices, so no dollar amounts here.
Two lines from its site matter for planning. Its wholesale page says it has products suitable for vegans, coeliacs and diabetics. For kids, it says “Kids scoop is a tiny taste”.
Mess forecast: the site calls the kids scoop a tiny taste, so the small size is the low-drip option.
Argies — 436-438 Bridge Road, Richmond VIC 3121
Argies is an Argentinian empanada shop, and the sweet side is on its site. It says you will find alfajores filled with dulce de leche, cakes, desserts and more.
Its trading hours read: Monday closed, Tuesday to Friday 10 am to 3 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 3 pm. The order page prints Dulce de Leche Spread (250g) at A$11.90, which is the sweetest line on the list we copied.

This one is a patisserie on Swan Street. Its site says the menu runs from flaky croissants to handmade cakes, French favourites crafted fresh each day.
Its site lists Mon-Sat 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sun 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. AGFG tags it with Takeaway, Child Friendly and Vegan Options. We could not find prices, so none are printed.
Order: a cake to take away, since AGFG tags it Takeaway, and call ahead for the vegan and gluten-free treats, which its site says vary daily.
Il Duca — 132 Wellington Pde, East Melbourne VIC 3002
Il Duca is the odd one out: an Italian restaurant in neighbouring East Melbourne. Its menu page prints a dessert list. Cannoli Piccoli are mini cannoli filled with chocolate ice cream and crushed pistachios, at $7.
Its menu also prints Tiramisù at $18 and Crespelle al Limone, lemon crepes with vanilla bean ice cream, at $18. AGFG lists its hours as weekdays 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, Saturday 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, and Sunday closed.
