Julia’s — 170 Warrandyte Rd, Ringwood North VIC 3134
Julia’s says it has served wood-fired pizza, cocktails and Italian food on Warrandyte Road since June 2024, with dough that is slow-fermented and cooked in a wood-fired oven, and it can take groups of up to 120. The ordering menu its own site links to runs from a margherita ($22.00) and the house “Julias” with spicy pepperoni ($25.00) up to a seafood marinara pizza ($32.00); past the pizzas sit penne romano in a rosé sauce ($27.00), spaghetti marinara ($37.00), a chicken parma ($31.00), and a kids’ list with spaghetti bolognese at $15.00. It opens from 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 11am Friday to Sunday, so it also works for a weekend lunch.
Price band: pizzas $22.00 to $32.00; pasta and mains $27.00 to $37.00, as listed. Menu highlight: margherita, $22.00, the plain pizza that shows off a wood-fired base. If you only try one: book ahead for a group, and start with the margherita.
Rosebank North — 149-151 Warrandyte Rd, Ringwood North VIC 3134
The sit-down, book-ahead option: a wedding and events venue as well as a restaurant. Its home page says it is “inspired by the local produce of the Yarra Valley”, and the menu reads like a classic bistro: a classic chicken parma with chips and salad ($33), lamb shank braised in red wine ($42), seafood linguini ($44), and a grill section from a 300g Black Angus porterhouse ($48) to a 400g rib eye ($55), with a margherita pizza at $26 and kids’ fish and chips at $16. The weekly rhythm is printed on its home page: pasta and wine on Wednesday, steak night on Thursday, happy hour Wednesday to Friday, and a Sunday roast. It is closed Monday and Tuesday, and its menu notes a 10% surcharge on Sundays and 15% on public holidays.

It has no website of its own that we could find, so there are no prices here: the menu it publishes on Uber Eats is the best guide to what it cooks. That menu has a sushi bar section, teppanyaki, traditional bento boxes, and separate gluten-free sections for entrees, rice dishes and teppanyaki. Among the entrees: gyoza (pan-fried pork and vegetable dumplings), takoyaki (octopus balls under bonito flakes, mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce), okonomiyaki (a savoury pancake), agedashi tofu and beef tataki, raw eye fillet with ponzu. The Australian Good Food Guide lists it as fully licensed, closed Mondays, and opening from 5:30pm Tuesday to Sunday.

Aroy-D Thai Restaurant — 178 Warrandyte Rd, Ringwood North VIC 3134
The answer to “is there a Thai restaurant in Ringwood North”. Its ordering page calls the kitchen “Thai & Lao Cuisine” and writes the address as Ringwood 3134, the postcode Ringwood North shares. Every curry on its takeaway menu is $22.20: massaman with potato and cashews, green, red, panang and yellow. Pad thai is $21.10, and both are marked gluten-free. The Lao side shows in the salads: larb gai ($25.55), minced chicken with coriander, chilli, roasted ground rice and lemon juice, is the dish Laos calls its own; Thai roast duck with salad is $27.80, and roti to mop up a curry is $7.30. Those are the prices the ordering page shows during trading hours; read while the restaurant is closed, the same page shows every price about 10% lower (massaman $20.20, pad thai $19.20), so expect the higher figure when you order.

Its own ordering page describes it as an Italian joint for gourmet pizzas, pasta and desserts “to eat in or take away”, and the deals are the way to feed a household. The Large Deal is two large pizzas, a garlic bread roll and a 1.25L soft drink for $43; the Pasta Deal swaps in two pastas for the same $43; and the Family Feast Deal adds a large serve of wings or ribs and a pasta to a large pizza, with garlic bread and a drink, for $65.

The old page’s “Top Picks” recommended Cinque Ristorante. We could find no current website or menu for it, and OpenStreetMap’s record for 170 Warrandyte Road, where Julia’s now trades, carries the note “Previously Cinque Ristorante”, so it is not listed here. This Little Kitchen (170-172 Warrandyte Road) is a cafe, and belongs on our cafe and brunch pages rather than this one. A’lin’s Kitchen in the North Ringwood shops (204 Warrandyte Road) publishes no menu we could read without a Facebook login, so it is left out until we can check it. The Eastland food-court counters and the Ringwood and Ringwood East cafes the old page listed are not in Ringwood North.
