Correction (5 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 4 October 2026.

Short list. Three places in Sunbury, each one sweet in a different way. A gelato shop, a patisserie and an Italian deli.

Each was checked against at least two independent sources, such as its own site, the Sunbury Square centre page or a directory listing. Two of the three sit inside Sunbury Square. This page carries no menu prices, because we copied none. Hours come from the venues’ own sites or their Sunbury Square centre page, and they change.

Augustus Gelatery Sunbury — 96A O’Shanassy Street, Sunbury VIC 3429

Gelato is the whole point here. The store page says there are more than 30 gelato flavours to choose from at any given time. That is a long list.

It also says there is both indoor and outdoor seating, and AGFG lists takeaway. The store page puts Sunbury train station a 320m walk away. Its listed hours run late: Monday to Thursday 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Sunday 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

The build: More than 30 flavours, per its own store page, so pick before you reach the counter.

Michel’s Patisserie (Sunbury Square) — Kiosk 4, Sunbury Square Shopping Centre, 2-28 Evans Street, Sunbury VIC 3429

This is the cake stop. The Sunbury Square page calls it the place to meet a friend for “a delicious coffee and slice of delectable cake”. Treat that as the venue’s own description.

The same page says High Tea is available for dine-in or takeaway, and that bookings are essential. The centre’s page for the kiosk lists its trading hours as 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Saturday and 7:00am – 4:30pm Sunday.

Order: High tea, booked ahead in-store or by phone on 9744 6366, as the centre page says.

Aldente Delicatessen — Shop 1, Sunbury Square Shopping Centre, Evans Street, Sunbury VIC 3429

Not a dessert shop. A deli. But its site lists “authentic Italian gelato” alongside specialty pantry staples, so it earns a spot.

The site also lists fresh roasted coffee daily and platters made just for you. It is Shop 1 in Sunbury Square. Its listed hours are Monday to Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 10am–5pm. We found no gelato flavours or prices on the pages we read.

Mess forecast: Unknown. We found no published gelato list, so ask what is in the cabinet.

How we checked

We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources on 4 October 2026: the places’ own websites, the Australian Good Food Guide, sunburysquare.com.au and a delivery-platform listing. We copied no menu prices from these places’ own pages, so this page prints none. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The cover photo is illustrative, from Unsplash, and does not show any place on this page.
