Four kitchens made this page, and each one cooks a different cuisine, so they are read one at a time: a Cantonese-style takeaway, a Vietnamese roll shop, a Thai restaurant and a Japanese food-court stall. Three are in Truganina. Sushi Hinode is in Tarneit, at Wyndham Village, so read this as in and around the suburb.
Each entry says what the place publishes, then decodes one dish so a first-timer can read the board. Prices are only the ones printed on the venue’s own pages. Where a page showed no price, the entry says so.

Wok Hunter Truganina — Shop 16, 185 Woods Road, Truganina VIC 3029
DoorDash lists the store as “Wok Hunter - Truganina, VIC” with Cantonese as its cuisine tag, and the venue’s own ordering page lists categories that include signature dumplings, BBQ, noodles, stir fried noodles, rice and fried rice. That page describes the place as “restaurant, food delivery, takeaway”. It showed no prices when we read it on 3 October 2026, and we found no hours on it, so we give neither.
The address comes from the ordering page, and DoorDash confirms a trading store in Truganina. Treat the menu as a category list, not a price list, until the shop publishes one.

Laroll Truganina — Warehouse 1/5 Connect Rd, Truganina VIC 3029
Laroll’s locations page lists 7:00 AM - 14:00 PM for Truganina, which makes it a morning and lunch stop. The Australian Good Food Guide tags it “Takeaway”, and the site mentions a “slow-simmered vegetarian broth”. The online-order menu prints the prices below, and notes that prices may vary from in-restaurant ones. Our two sources spell the unit slightly differently, Warehouse 1 on Laroll’s site and Factory 1 on the Good Food Guide, so look for the Connect Rd frontage.
A spring roll is a filled roll, fried or fresh depending on the style, so check which kind the combo uses when you order.

Inspire Thai — Shop 4/451 Leakes Rd, Truganina VIC 3029
Inspire Thai’s site opens with “Welcome to Inspire Thai” and lists “Tuesday to Sunday 12:00 pm -3:00 pm | 5:00 pm -9:30 pm”, so it runs a lunch sitting and a dinner sitting. The Australian Good Food Guide tags it “Lunch Takeaway Vegan Options” and “Child Friendly”. The prices below are entrees only, from the home page menu preview. The full menu page lists curries and stir-fries too, but we could not tie each price to a dish, so we list no main.
Satay is a skewer of marinated grilled meat served with a peanut sauce, and the menu describes the chicken version in exactly those terms. The curry puff is a pastry with a filling, and the menu says the filling is a choice of vegetarian or chicken, served with peanut sauce.

Order this first: the SPRING ROLLS at $9.50, which the menu says come “homemade” with a choice of vegetarian or chicken and sweet chilli sauce.
Sushi Hinode Wyndham Village — Shop 29, Wyndham Village Shopping Centre, 380 Sayers Rd, Tarneit VIC 3029
Sushi Hinode is in Tarneit, outside Truganina. Its site says to find it “inside the Wyndham Village Shopping Centre in Tarneit in the food court area near Aldi”, and says “All meats served at Hinode is certified Halal.” The site offers “Order Online Now for Pickup!”. The hours line we copied lists Monday to Thursday as 7:30am-5:30pm and Friday as 7:30am-7pm. We copied only the Monday-to-Friday lines, so check the contact page for Saturday and Sunday. A note on the menu page states that prices may change.
The sushi lines are easy to read once you know two terms. Nigiri is a slice of fish pressed onto a small block of rice, and an inside-out roll puts the rice on the outside and the seaweed in the middle.

Inspire Thai, at Shop 4/451 Leakes Rd in Truganina, is the Thai restaurant we could verify. Its site lists Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 pm -3:00 pm and 5:00 pm -9:30 pm, and its entrees start at $9.50 for the SPRING ROLLS, CURRY PUFF and FISH CAKE.
Is there halal Japanese food near Truganina?
Sushi Hinode in the Wyndham Village food court in Tarneit says “All meats served at Hinode is certified Halal.” That is the venue’s own statement, and it is the only Japanese place on this page. We did not read halal claims on the other three menus, so we make none for them.
What is the cheapest priced item on this page?
Two items tie. Laroll’s Spring Rolls + Side + Drink combo is $8.00, and Sushi Hinode’s Gyoza (6 pcs) is $8. Wok Hunter’s ordering page showed no prices, so it is not in the comparison.
