Straight answer first: we could not verify a pub with a beer garden in Truganina. The three places we could stand behind are all in Tarneit, the next suburb along, so this is a page about pubs and bars around Truganina, not in it. None of the quotes we collected for them describes a beer garden, and we are not going to call a car park or a TAB room one.
What we can do is line up what each place publishes: bistro hours, a trivia slot, a sports bar, menu prices. Keen for a parma? Hotel 520 and Club Tarneit both print one. Fancy a session on a Wednesday? One of them has trivia. Hours and prices change, so ring before you go.

Hotel 520 — 520 Sayers Road, Tarneit VIC 3029
Hotel 520 is in Tarneit, not Truganina. Satterley’s Bluestone estate guide says it “features a bistro, sports bar and lounge area”, and the pub’s own site says it is “fully licensed”. The site also mentions “full indoor and outdoor TAB” and FOXTEL on the large screens. We read no beer garden claim on it, so we are not calling it one.
The site lists lunch every day from 12:00pm to 2:30pm, and dinner from 5:30pm to 8:00pm Sunday to Wednesday and from 5:30pm to 8:30pm Thursday to Saturday. A live entertainment poster for the main bar lists acts for October dates, from Let’s Go Disco on the 2nd to Lemonade on the 30th. That poster is an image, so we transcribed the names by eye.
Chicken Parmigiana is $30 on the menu: chicken schnitzel topped with napoli sauce, shaved ham and mozzarella, served with chips and a house salad. The 520 Burger is $28, with a 200g beef patty, lettuce, tomato, caramelised onion, pickles, cheese and aioli. The $14 Chicken Schnitzel & Chips on the menu list below sits under the KIDS MEALS heading, for children up to 12 years of age, and the same menu says adults who order from it pay more.

Go on a: Wednesday, then, if you want the TAB, which the site lists from 11:00am Wednesday to Saturday, and a bistro dinner, listed from 5:30pm to 8:00pm that evening.
Club Tarneit — 622 Leakes Road, Tarneit VIC 3029
Club Tarneit is in Tarneit too. Satterley describes it as “more than just a bar” and “a community venue with a bistro, café, and sports bar under one roof”, and OpenStreetMap tags it as a pub. The club’s site lists general opening hours of Monday to Sunday, 10:00am to 1:00am, with bistro lunch daily from 12pm to 3pm and bistro dinner daily from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
The sports bar section of the site mentions “a multitude of big screens”. It lists Super Sports Bar Saturdays from 12pm to 5pm, and a Monday to Friday sports bar deal, 12pm to 3pm, of a meal plus a pot. That line carries an asterisk, so check the terms before you count on it. We did not read a garden mentioned anywhere in the sources we collected.
The bistro menu prints two prices per dish, because its footer says “Non Member and CT10 prices shown”. The numbers carry no dollar sign on the menu, and we have kept them as printed. Chicken Parmigiana is 32.8 / 29.5, with Napoli, ham, mozzarella, chips and salad. CT Burger is 30.55 / 27.5. Garlic Bread (V) is 11.1 / 10.

Rick’s Cafe & Bar — Shop 10A, 200 Hummingbird Boulevard, Tarneit VIC 3029
Rick’s is the odd one out: Satterley lists it as “Ricks Café & Bar”, and it reads as a cafe first and a bar second. It sits in Tarneit as well. We found no trading-hours statement on its site on 3 October 2026, so there are no hours here.
Its online ordering menu runs from an All Day Menu through burgers and pizza to sweets, and has an Alcohol section listing Cocktails, a Whiskey Selection and Spirits & Classics. The ordering page prints Classic Egg Benedict (V, Gfa) at $17.99 and Big Brekky at $26.99. The Classic Cheesy Burger is $13.99 and the Margherita Pizza is $13.99.

Taps: we read no tap list for Rick’s. The closest thing is the ordering menu’s Alcohol section, which names Cocktails, a Whiskey Selection and Spirits & Classics without a beer range.

Club Tarneit’s site lists QuizzaMe Trivia every Wednesday, with registrations from 6:30pm and play from 7:00pm. We found no trivia day or time for Hotel 520 or Rick’s Cafe & Bar; Satterley’s estate guide mentions “midweek trivia” at Hotel 520 without naming a night.
Which of these has live music?
Hotel 520’s site has a poster headed “LIVE entertainment MAIN BAR” with acts listed for October dates, from Let’s Go Disco on the 2nd to Lemonade on the 30th. We found no live-music listing for Club Tarneit or Rick’s Cafe & Bar.
Which of these is open latest?
Club Tarneit lists general opening hours of Monday to Sunday, 10:00am to 1:00am. Hotel 520 lists its TAB as open from 11:00am to late Wednesday to Saturday, but that is the TAB, not the bar. Rick’s Cafe & Bar published no hours we could use.
