Before anything else, a park is a set of facilities, and that is why the lists come first here. Six parks and reserves had enough on the public record for us to stand behind them: four in Truganina and two just over the line in Tarneit. Each heading carries the park’s own suburb.
The facility details come from the council’s venue and news pages and from two independent listing sites, Melbourne Playgrounds and Find a Dog Park. Where a source does not mention toilets, shade, fencing or water, we say so about that source only. Opening hours were not in what we read, so none are given.

Clearwood Drive Reserve — 51 Clearwood Drive, Truganina VIC 3029
The Wyndham City Council venue page lists the facilities “for non-exclusive use by the community”: a playground, BBQ facilities, a public toilet and a medium sized skatepark. The council page gives the street address but prints no postcode; 3029 is the Truganina postcode. We found no hours for the reserve.
Water and toilets: the council page lists a public toilet; check the council page for drinking water before you pack.
Freshbrook Avenue Park — 4 Freshbrook Avenue, Truganina VIC 3029
Melbourne Playgrounds lists this park under the name “Freshbrook Avenue Playground” and says “a big atom shaped climbing frame leads up to a big tunnel slide.” The same listing describes a “shelter with three tables and BBQs, toilets, unshaded table, water tap and big grassy area.” The listing’s word “unshaded” is worth reading twice if you are planning a middle-of-the-day visit.

Whitfield Court Park — 10 Whitfield Court, Truganina VIC 3029
Melbourne Playgrounds describes a structure with two slides, a tunnel, a shop front, a spiral ladder, a small hanging ladder, a walkway, an abacus and a steering wheel, plus swings. That is a long list of climbing and pretend-play pieces for one park. The listing does not mention toilets or a BBQ, so we have not claimed either.

Forsyth Park — Cnr Silverbrush Way and Perennial Drive, Truganina VIC 3029
Melbourne Playgrounds says “the playground has a lot of facilities to keep family members of all ages occupied” and also describes an enclosed area for exercising dogs. Find a Dog Park describes the dog area as “a circular fenced area (about 50m in diameter) which is grassy but has some worn down areas which can be muddy when wet.” Its listing for the park also carries the tags “Fenced”, “Toilets” and “Bins”. The address is a corner, with no street number, so use the two street names to find it.
Water and toilets: Find a Dog Park tags the park with “Toilets” and “Bins”; neither listing we read mentions a water tap.
Penrose Promenade Park — 29 Penrose Promenade, Tarneit VIC 3029
This park is in Tarneit, not Truganina. Melbourne Playgrounds lists a structure with a wave slide, shop front, ladder, steering wheel, chain ladder, log roll, twisted shaped walkway, flying fox and monkey bars. The listing adds “No swings” and a “shelter with table and BBQ”. We matched this park to the listing by name, so we have kept to what the listing says.

Polly Parade Reserve — Polly Parade, Tarneit VIC 3029
This reserve is also in Tarneit. A Wyndham City Council news item says the project, completed over two stages, delivered sports fields for soccer and cricket, tennis courts, cricket practice nets, a children’s play space, pathways, sports lighting, a BBQ and picnic area, fencing, landscaping and irrigation. The council item gives no street number for the reserve.

Which of these parks list a BBQ?
The council lists BBQ facilities at Clearwood Drive Reserve and a BBQ and picnic area at Polly Parade Reserve. Melbourne Playgrounds lists BBQs at Freshbrook Avenue Park and a shelter with table and BBQ at Penrose Promenade Park. We did not copy a BBQ line for Forsyth Park, so check its listing before you go.
Are all of these parks in Truganina?
No. Four are in Truganina; Penrose Promenade Park and Polly Parade Reserve are in Tarneit, so check the address before you set the map.
