The best family restaurant is the one that answers your 9pm questions before you ring: what time it opens, whether the kids have something to order, and what the bill might look like. This page lists seven places in and around Truganina that had enough on the public record for us to check those things. Six are in Truganina and one, Club Tarneit, is in Tarneit.
What counts as “child friendly” here is only what a source says. Where the Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) tags a place “Child Friendly”, we say so and name AGFG. Where a venue’s own page lists a kids’ meal or a family deal, we quote it. We found no source for high chairs, prams or toilets at any of them, so each page entry ends with the questions to put to the venue.

Allura Cafe — Shop 6, 320 Forsyth Road, Truganina VIC 3029
AGFG lists Allura Cafe under “Features & Facilities” as “Child Friendly”, “Takeaway”, “Vegan Options” and “Vegetarian Options”. The cafe’s own site describes “an all-halal menu” and says breakfast is served daily from 8am to 2:30pm; AGFG lists 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekends. The menu lists a Cheese & Tomato Toastie at $12 and a Falafel & Roasted Veges Wrap at $14, both with short ingredient lists.

Three things to confirm before you go: ask whether a high chair is available, which dishes can be made simpler for little ones, and whether the AGFG hours or the site’s breakfast hours apply to the morning you are coming.
Bukhara Indian Cuisine — 4 Corundum Lane, Sapphire Square, Truganina VIC 3029
AGFG tags Bukhara “Child Friendly”, “Takeaway” and “Vegan Options”, and lists it for Friday and Saturday, 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Its own site describes a “high-end fine dining experience of Indian Cuisine”, which tells you the format before you book. The site’s menu is an image, so we could not read item prices from it.
Three things to confirm before you go: book ahead for a Friday or Saturday, ask what the kitchen can do for children, and check the hours with the restaurant, because they come from the AGFG listing rather than the venue’s page.
Kasba Indian Restaurant — Shop 8/451 Leakes Rd, Truganina VIC 3029
AGFG tags Kasba “Child Friendly” and “Halal Options”. The restaurant’s own info page lists Monday, 5:30 PM to 12:45 AM, the one day’s line we read, so treat it as an evening option and ask about the rest of the week. We could not read item prices: its ordering site loads the menu items by script, so only the category names showed.
Three things to confirm before you go: ask for the hours for the day you plan to come, whether the kids can have a milder or plainer dish, and whether dining in is on offer at that time or only pick-up and delivery.
Burgertory Truganina — Shop 17, Truganina Shopping Central, 185 Woods Rd, Truganina VIC 3029
The Burgertory menu lists a “Lil Rascals Kids Meal” and a Baby Joel Combo at $10, described as a kids beef burger with cheese and ketchup served with fries, including a kids drink. The restaurant’s site lists “all week 11am to 11pm”, and it describes itself as the “largest halal burger chain”. These prices are from the chain-wide menu, and the Truganina ordering page on order.online shows higher prices, so check the ordering page before you budget.

Inspire Thai — Shop 4/451 Leakes Rd, Truganina VIC 3029
AGFG tags Inspire Thai “Child Friendly” and “Vegan Options”. Its site lists Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm, and its entree preview offers the curry puff and the spring rolls each with a choice of vegetarian or chicken. We could not tie a price to an individual main on its menu page, so only the entrees are priced here.

Three things to confirm before you go: ask about a high chair, which mains suit younger eaters (the preview shows entrees only), and whether the dish you want can be made vegetarian.
Smokin’ Joe’s Pizza & Grill Truganina — T14/82 Elmhurst Rd, Truganina VIC 3029
Smokin’ Joe’s site offers its menu “for Pick Up or Delivery”, so this is a take-home option rather than a sit-down one. Its Family Feast is $37.90 and is listed as two large pizzas, one garlic bread and a 1.25lt drink. The page lists Friday 3:00pm to 11:00pm and Saturday 11:30am to 11:00pm, and the prices here are from the pick-up menu on its own site; the delivery listing we checked shows higher prices.

Pack: the Couple bundle lists two small pizzas, a garlic bread and drinks, so a spare plate set from home makes it easier to split across the table.
Club Tarneit — 622 Leakes Road, Tarneit VIC 3029
Club Tarneit is in Tarneit, not Truganina. Its own site says “we pride ourselves on being family-friendly, offering meals tailored for kids and seniors alike” and that inside there is “a dedicated kids’ play area”. It lists general opening hours of Monday to Sunday, 10:00am to 1:00am, with bistro lunch daily from 12pm to 3pm and dinner daily from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The menu prints two prices per item, and its footer reads “Non Member and CT10 prices shown - ask staff for CT5 pricing”.
