A menu is easier to read once someone decodes it. This page covers five places in nearby suburbs: two in Rosanna, one in Lower Plenty, one in Heidelberg and one in Bulleen, each named for the cuisine it lists rather than lumped together.
We name a regional style only where a menu or site names it, and we add a one-line decoder where a dish name might stump a first-timer. Where we could not read a menu, we say so instead of guessing.
Each place was checked against two independent sources, listed at the bottom, and every price is copied from the page it was published on.

Dumpling Time Chuhe — 86 Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna VIC 3084
A dumpling is a filling wrapped in dough, then steamed, boiled or pan-fried, and the name here puts the format front and centre. AGFG tags the restaurant with Takeaway and Vegetarian Options. AGFG lists it closed on Tuesday, with sessions from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday to Friday. We could not find a readable menu, since its own website did not load when we checked.
Region: we could not find a published menu, so we cannot name a regional style, and the order of the day is a call to the venue.
Suwan Thai Restaurant — 82 Main Road, Lower Plenty VIC 3093
The restaurant’s site says it is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 5.30PM for takeaway and from 6.00PM for dine-in. It lists the place as Fully Licensed and BYO (wine only), and says booking is highly recommended on Friday and Saturday nights. AGFG tags it with Vegan Options and Child Friendly. We could not read a price list, as the site’s menus are image or PDF links.
How to order: the site says to book for Friday and Saturday nights, and to pick takeaway from 5.30PM or dine-in from 6.00PM.
Sushi Galore — 178 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg VIC 3084
The site says the shop specialises in Japanese cuisine, including sushi, chicken soup, teriyaki chicken or katsu don, and offers pickup. A don is a rice bowl with a topping. Sushi Galore’s menu prints 6. Gyoza (5 Pcs) at $13.20, described as panfried Japanese pork, vegetable or chicken dumplings. The site lists Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3:30pm and 4:30pm to 8:30pm, and Sunday as closed.

Aagaman Indian Nepalese Restaurant (Rosanna) — 137 Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna VIC 3084
The restaurant’s name puts Indian and Nepalese side by side, and its site describes a neighbourhood restaurant on Lower Plenty Road. The site’s menu text describes Butter Chicken as tender chicken slow-cooked in a rich tomato and cream sauce. AGFG tags it with Vegan Options and Vegetarian Options, and lists it from 5:00 PM on Monday to Thursday until 9:00 PM, and until 9:30 PM from Friday to Sunday. The site is undated and the street number rests on one source, so confirm before you travel.
