Which cafes near Viewbank say what coffee they serve, and what do they print on the menu? This page covers five places in and around Viewbank: three in Heidelberg, one in Montmorency and one in Rosanna.
Each was checked against OpenStreetMap, its own website where it has one, and the Australian Good Food Guide. Where a cafe names its roaster, we say so. Where we could not find one named, we say that too.
We cannot tell you how any coffee tastes, so this page sticks to what the venues publish: hours, menus and who runs the place.

The Sycamore Tree — 185 Burgundy St, Heidelberg VIC 3084
The Sycamore Tree’s site says that during the week it operates as a casual coffee shop with a team of volunteers, and it says the coffee is from STREAT. Its site lists Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm, with the kitchen closing at 2pm and drinks and cakes available until 3pm. The menu prints 4.5 for a regular and 5.5 for a large on the latte, cappuccino, flat white, long black and macchiato list. The site and menu carry no date, so check before you go.

Chancez Cafe (Possum Hollow) — Possum Hollow Playground, Warringal Parklands, Beverley Road, Heidelberg VIC 3084
The Araluen Centre’s page describes Chancez Cafe as “More than great coffee!” and places it in the leafy surrounds of Possum Hollow Playground. The same page says Chancez Cafes offer NDIS-funded learning pathways and that there is a new covered outdoor seating area. Its listed hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 3pm, and Tuesday 9.30am to 3.30pm, with the cafe closed Fridays, weekends and public holidays. No menu or price list turned up for this cafe in what we read.
Roaster: We could not find one named on its page, so we are not guessing.
Plat Coffee — 60 Mount Street, Heidelberg VIC 3084
We could not find a website for Plat Coffee. OpenStreetMap tags it as a breakfast and coffee shop with wlan internet access, and AGFG lists it as Plat Specialty Coffee. The OpenStreetMap hours tag reads Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 15:00, surveyed in July, so they may be out of date. We could not find a menu or prices.
Laptop policy: OpenStreetMap tags internet access as wlan, but we could not find a published rule about laptops.
Stones Throw Cafe — 5 Were Street, Montmorency VIC 3094
Stones Throw’s site calls it “The Home of Great Coffee” and lists an Allpress A.R.T. Espresso Roast with a custom grind. The site lists Monday to Friday 6.30am to 3.30pm and Saturday 7.30am to 2.30pm, with Sunday closed. The February menu is headed ALL DAY DINING and prints Noisette Toast at $9 and Eggs Your Way at $15. It also carries a kids menu for 14 and under.

Miss Marie Cafe — 45 Beetham Parade, Rosanna VIC 3084
Miss Marie’s site says it serves quality Five Senses coffee, with an expansive coffee menu, cakes and sweet treats. AGFG lists 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday to Friday and 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM on weekends, and tags it with Vegan Options and Takeaway. Its online ordering page prints Just 2 Free-Range Eggs at A$13.90 and a Puppuccino at A$2.50, and those prices may differ in store.
