A date night dinner needs a table, a menu you can read in advance and a rough idea of when the kitchen is open. This page covers four sit-down restaurants in and around Viewbank: three in Heidelberg and one in Lower Plenty.
Each venue was compared across a minimum of two sources, and every fact is credited to the listing it came from. Where a listing says ‘romantic’, we name who said it rather than calling it fact. Where we could not find prices or hours, we say so, and you can check with the venue before you book.

Little Black Pig & Sons — 48 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg VIC 3084
AGFG tags Little Black Pig & Sons as ‘Romantic’. Its own site describes ‘Produce driven Italian cooking’ and says it offers à la carte and a five-course tasting menu. AGFG’s listing shows dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM, plus lunch on Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM. The venue’s own page shows no hours, and we could not find published prices. Its own policy says it cannot accommodate infants and children under six, so this is a table for two adults.
Stage: Anniversary or a later date, because the site lists a five-course tasting menu alongside à la carte.
Eliá Greek Tavern — 57 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg VIC 3084
AGFG tags Eliá Greek Tavern as ‘Romantic’, and its site describes ‘Traditional Greek food incorporating modern elements’. The site lists dinner from Wednesday to Thursday at 6 pm and Friday to Sunday at 5:30 pm, each ’late’. AGFG lists Friday and Saturday 5:30 PM - 11:00 PM. The site also says a BYO option is available. Eliá’s dessert menu prints BAKLAVA at $14 and ICE CREAM at $8, so a shared sweet to finish is easy to plan. The last published takeaway menu prints ELIA FEAST FOR TWO at $70, and prices from that menu may have moved.

Solana Restaurant and Wine Bar — 410 Main Road, Lower Plenty VIC 3093
AGFG tags Solana Restaurant and Wine Bar as ‘Romantic’ and lists ‘Alfresco Dining’ and ‘Child Friendly’. Its site calls Solana ‘a modern Italian restaurant set on beautiful green acreage’. The site lists Tuesday to Thursday 05:00 PM - 09:30 PM, Friday and Saturday 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM, and Sunday 12:00 PM - 09:00 PM. AGFG shows different hours, so confirm before you book. We did not find menu prices.
Exit plan: Solana is on Main Road in Lower Plenty, not Heidelberg, so sort the way home before you book.
At The Kotz — 134 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg VIC 3084
At The Kotz’s site says it offers all day breakfast and lunch six days a week, and dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. It lists dinner at 5pm to 10pm on those nights, while AGFG shows different dinner hours, so we do not call it a late-night pick. The site also mentions vegetarian selections and exceptional coffee, and uses the words ‘a romantic night out’. We could not find menu text or prices on its site.
Say this: When you book, ask whether Thursday, Friday or Saturday dinner is running that week, since its site hours and AGFG differ.
