A price board beats a guess. Here is what could be read, place by place, and where it could not.
Six takeaway places sit in and around Viewbank. Three are in Heidelberg, and the others are in Watsonia, Rosanna and Montmorency. None is in Viewbank itself.

Subzilla — 176 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg VIC 3084
A sub is a long roll filled with meat, cheese and salad. Subzilla’s site titles its menu ‘Subzilla Menu - Delicious Takeaway’. When checked, its site showed open today 10:00 am – 08:00 pm, not a weekly schedule. The menu is an image, so we could not copy any prices.
The move: open the menu image on its site before you go, and confirm the hours for your day.
Heidelberg Fish and Chips — 101 Burgundy Street (Shop 9), Heidelberg VIC 3084
Fish and chips is fish in batter or crumb with hot chips, wrapped to go. AGFG lists Tuesday to Thursday 10:45 AM - 8:30 PM, Friday and Saturday 10:45 AM - 9:00 PM, and Sunday 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM. Monday is listed as closed. AGFG tags it for takeaway and delivery, and we could not load a website of its own, so there are no prices.
The move: phone the shop for today’s prices, since none are published where we looked.
Kebab Nation (Watsonia) — 41 Watsonia Road, Watsonia VIC 3087
A kebab is spiced meat with salad in flatbread. AGFG lists Kebab Nation open 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Monday to Thursday and 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM on Friday. Saturday is 11:30 AM - 9:30 PM and Sunday is 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM. AGFG tags it for takeaway, delivery, child friendly and alfresco dining, and its ordering site would not show prices in a plain read.

Dumpling Time Chuhe — 86 Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna VIC 3084
A dumpling is a filled dough parcel, steamed or fried. AGFG lists Dumpling Time Chuhe in Rosanna open 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM Monday and Wednesday to Friday. On Saturday and Sunday it shows 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Tuesday is closed, and AGFG tags takeaway and vegetarian options. We could not load its own site, so no prices.
What it is: a sit-down restaurant that AGFG also tags for takeaway, so ask for the takeaway menu when you call.
5isters Mediterranean Kitchen — 150 Burgundy Street, Heidelberg VIC 3084
Falafel are fried chickpea balls, and a Falafel Wrap (V) is $12 on its menu. Lamb Kebab is $16 and Chicken Shawarma is $16. Aussie Kebab is $18. The site offers pickup or delivery, and the (V) is the menu’s own mark.

Global Pizza — 7 Were Street, Montmorency VIC 3094
Global Pizza is in Montmorency, outside Viewbank. Its own site lists Monday closed, Tuesday to Thursday and Sunday 4:30pm to 9:15pm, and Friday and Saturday 4:00pm to 10:00pm. AGFG tags takeaway, delivery and child friendly. Its site also says it offers catering orders 24/7, even outside trading hours.
The move: use the site’s hours, not AGFG’s older ones, and ring ahead for a large catering order.
