Correction (11 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 9 October 2026.

Five places are on this page: two in West Footscray and three in Kingsville. Four of them carry a Vegan Options listing on the Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG), and the fifth, Inner West Swedish Bakery, says on its own site that its range includes vegan and vegetarian tastebuds.

We report each label as it appears and add nothing to it. A Vegan Options tag tells you vegan choices exist on a menu; it is not a statement about allergens or shared kitchens, so each entry ends with something to ask.

Inner West Swedish Bakery — 549A Barkly Street, West Footscray VIC 3012

This is the one entry where the venue speaks for itself: Inner West Swedish Bakery’s site says its range includes vegan and vegetarian tastebuds. AGFG also lists Takeaway. The bakery is at 549A Barkly Street, and its site lists Tuesday to Sunday, 7am to 2pm.

Kitchen statement: The site speaks of a range that includes vegan options, and this page prints nothing further, so ask which items are vegan on the day and how they are made.

Dumbo — 11 Argyle Street, West Footscray VIC 3012

AGFG lists Vegan Options for Dumbo at 11 Argyle Street, along with Child Friendly, Takeaway and Free Wifi. Its site lists Monday to Friday 7am-3pm, Saturday and Sunday 8am-3pm, and public holidays 8am-2pm, but these details may have changed, so check before you go.

Menu markers: This page prints no dish-level markers for Dumbo, so ask at the counter which dishes can be made vegan.

Bangkok Gang — 208 Somerville Road, Kingsville VIC 3012

AGFG lists Vegan Options, Child Friendly and Takeaway for Bangkok Gang at 208 Somerville Road, Kingsville. Its site lists Tuesday to Sunday 5pm to 9pm.

Fully plant-based or options: AGFG’s tag is Vegan Options, so read it as options within a wider menu and ask about the rest.

Olive Oil & Butter Kafé — 196 Somerville Road, Kingsville VIC 3012

AGFG lists Vegan Options for Olive Oil & Butter Kafé at 196 Somerville Road, Kingsville, along with Child Friendly, Pet Friendly, Takeaway and Alfresco Dining. This page prints no hours for it, so confirm opening times before you go.

Ask: How vegan items are prepared and whether they share equipment with other dishes.

Barbarian Brewing Co. — 289 Geelong Road, Kingsville VIC 3012

AGFG lists Vegan Options for Barbarian Brewing Co. at 289 Geelong Road, Kingsville, plus Child Friendly, Live Music and Alfresco Dining. Its site lists Wednesday 12-9pm, Thursday to Saturday 12-10pm and Sunday 12-9pm, with the kitchen closing at 9pm Wednesday to Saturday and 8pm on Sunday.

Ask: Which menu items count as vegan and whether the kitchen handles them separately.

Quick answers

Where can you eat vegan in West Footscray?

How we checked

We checked every place on this page against at least two independent sources on 9 October 2026: OpenStreetMap, the places’ own websites and the Australian Good Food Guide. Menus, prices and opening hours change, so check with the venue before you go. The cover photo is illustrative, from Unsplash, and does not show any place on this page.
