A first date wants low stakes, an easy exit and something to talk about that isn’t the menu. The four picks below are sorted by stage, with talk-ability read openly from what each place publishes and the price band taken from its own menu where we could read one. Three of them share one address, 100 Overton Road in Williams Landing, in units 23, 24A and 25A. The fourth is in nearby Laverton.
Plan B for rain is built in: if one of the Overton Road three can’t seat you, the other two are at the same address. Our sources say nothing about bookings or accessibility at any of the four, so check both before you commit. They also say nothing about the trip home, so look up your own route on the PTV journey planner before you book.

Luminous Restaurant & Bar — 23/100 Overton Road, Williams Landing VIC 3027
Luminous’s own site says dining there “can be a relaxed, romantic, or fun adventure”, and HomeCo.’s page says its bar has “exotic cocktails you can choose from”. Its own menu, read on 2 October 2026, lists spaghetti bolognese at $27, a margherita pizza at $25, a chicken parmigiana at $29 and a beef burger with fries at $22, with sticky date pudding at $15 if you are sharing dessert. Own-site hours are 11am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. HomeCo.’s centre page, read on 3 October, listed Luminous as 9am to 11pm on each day it showed from Saturday 3 October, so confirm the closing time.
Stage: first or third. The menu runs from burgers to pasta, so any appetite has an order.
Talk-ability: the sources say nothing about noise, music or seating, so we won’t guess. One inference: HomeCo.’s what’s-happening page advertises a Luminous “Kids Eat Free on Wednesday!” special with an asterisk (the terms were not shown on the page we read), so Wednesday is the night it courts families. For a two-person dinner another night may suit better. That is our inference, not a report of how busy it is.
Split or splurge: split. Mains run $22 to $29, and dessert is $15.

Tatva Indian Kitchen — 24A/100 Overton Road, Williams Landing VIC 3027
HomeCo.’s page says “Experience the rich and diverse flavours of India at Tatva Indian Kitchen”. On its own ordering page only the soup and starter prices were readable on 2 October 2026: hot and sour soup $12.99, chilli gobi $17.99, chilli paneer $17.99, chicken 555 $18.99 and chilli prawns $20.99. In the dish names, gobi is cauliflower and paneer is a firm fresh cheese. We did not capture prices beyond the soup and starters. HomeCo. listed Friday 2 October as 11am to 11pm, and Tatva’s own page showed 11:00 to 23:00 for the same day.
Stage: third. A menu split into soups, starters and mains suits ordering a few things; portion sizes are not stated.

Mun Korean Kitchen — Shop 25A, 100 Overton Road, Williams Landing VIC 3027
HomeCo.’s page says Mun Korean Kitchen “specialise in delicious Korean food made using the best ingredients”, and Cedar Woods’ restaurants page says “their fried chicken continues to be the talk of the town”. We could not read an own-site menu for it, so there are no prices here. A DoorDash listing shows bibimbap (a rice bowl topped with seasoned vegetables), jap chae (sweet-potato noodles stir-fried with vegetables), tteokbokki (chewy rice cakes in a chilli sauce), half chicken and boneless fried chicken. Delivery-app prices can differ from in-restaurant prices, so we have not printed them. HomeCo. listed Friday 2 October 2026 as 11:30am to 9:30pm, the earliest finish of the three Overton Road picks that day.
Stage: first, low stakes. Rice bowls and fried chicken are easy orders, and nobody has to decode a menu.

Il Corso Pizzeria & Restaurant — Unit 3/161 Railway Avenue, Laverton VIC 3028
The one pick outside Williams Landing, and the thinnest on sources. The Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) lists it at Unit 3/161 Railway Ave, Laverton as Italian, and OpenStreetMap, last surveyed on 17 July 2026, lists it as pizza and Italian, closed Mondays and open from 5pm Tuesday to Sunday. We could not fetch an own website or a menu for it, so there are no dishes or prices here. The OpenStreetMap entry carries no street address, so the address rests on AGFG alone. Treat the hours as unconfirmed and check them and the address before you go.
Stage: third. It is listed as a restaurant as well as a pizzeria, and as an evening place.

On 2 October 2026 we read each venue’s own site or ordering page where one existed, and HomeCo.’s and Cedar Woods’ Williams Landing directory pages for addresses, units and hours. Every price above was copied from a venue’s own menu or ordering page, not from a delivery app. Each address is confirmed at two independent sources except Il Corso, whose street address comes from AGFG alone: OpenStreetMap lists the restaurant but carries no street address, which is why it carries the most hedging. Hours are the venue’s own where it published them, otherwise HomeCo.’s centre page. Menus and hours change, and ordering pages sometimes show only part of a menu. The cover photo is illustrative, from Unsplash: it shows the mood of a toast, not any of these venues.
