Correction (3 October 2026): an earlier version of this page listed places and details we could not stand behind. It has been rewritten from scratch: every place below was confirmed at two independent sources on 2 October 2026.
An off-leash area is only off-leash where the council says it is, and the council’s listing wins every argument. This page gives each area’s official status first, then what the council or a local news report says about it.
Six areas made the list, and only one is inside Williams Landing: the fenced dog park at Williams Landing Boulevard Reserve. The others are in Point Cook, Truganina, Seabrook, Laverton and Altona Meadows, so this is a guide to in and around Williams Landing. Wyndham City lists the first three and Hobsons Bay City lists the last three. We have no verified off-leash hours beyond what each council lists, so check the council order before you go.

Williams Landing Boulevard Reserve (incl. fenced dog off-leash park, free tennis courts, exercise equipment) — Williams Landing Boulevard, Williams Landing VIC 3027
Wyndham City’s dog off-lead listing, which calls the place Williams Landing Reserve, reads “Type: Enclosed Dog Off Leash Park | Details: All hours | Suburb: Williams Landing | Status: Current”. WyndhamTV reported that the dog off-leash park was “now officially open”, and said “the highlight of the park is the fenced-off dog off-leash area, featuring three distinct zones”. The council’s own release describes them as a large lawn area for dogs to run around, an activity space with agility equipment, and a quiet area for smaller and older dogs.
Off-leash status: enclosed off-leash park, listed by Wyndham City as current for all hours; bring a lead and bags, and check the council order for the current rules.
The Strand Park, Point Cook (dog off-leash park and skate park) — 13-19 Boardwalk Boulevard, Point Cook VIC 3030
Wyndham City’s dog off-lead listing has “Name: The Strand Park | Type: Enclosed Dog Off Leash Park | Details: All hours | Suburb: Point Cook | Status: Current”. The council’s skate park list separately places The Strand (Point Cook) Skate Park at 13-19 Boardwalk Boulevard, so expect a skate park at the same address. The council listing does not describe the dog area’s layout, so we do not.
Off-leash status: enclosed off-leash park, listed by Wyndham City as current for all hours; bring a lead and bags.
Forsyth Road Park dog off-leash park — Forsyth Road Park, Truganina VIC 3029
Wyndham City’s dog off-lead listing has “Name: Forsyth Road Park | Type: Enclosed Dog Off Leash Park | Details: All hours | Suburb: Truganina | Status: Current”. The sources we read do not publish a street number for it, which is why the heading carries none. That listing is all the council says, so we do not describe the layout or facilities.
Off-leash status: enclosed off-leash park, listed by Wyndham City as current for all hours; check the council order for the rest.
Pipeline Reserve (dog off-leash, Seabrook) — Shane Avenue and Point Cook Road, Seabrook VIC 3028
Hobsons Bay City lists “Pipeline Reserve | Shane Avenue and Point Cook Road, Seabrook” among its dog off-leash locations, under the heading “Dog off-leash locations - unrestricted”. The council’s rule on the same page is that “Your pet must be under effective voice control at all times.” Voice control means the dog comes back when called.
Off-leash status: listed by Hobsons Bay as an unrestricted off-leash location; bring bags, because the council says on-the-spot penalties apply for failing to collect dog litter.
McCormack Park (Bladin Street Park) dog off-leash area, Laverton — Bladin Street, opposite McCormack Park, Laverton VIC 3028
Hobsons Bay City lists the off-leash area as “McCormack Park (Bladin Street Park) | Opposite McCormack Park, south side of the creek to the cyclone wire fence”. A cyclone wire fence is a chain-link fence, so the fence marks one edge of the listed area. The council page does not publish a street number.
Off-leash status: the listed area runs from the south side of the creek to the cyclone wire fence, per Hobsons Bay; stay inside that stretch.
Bruce Comben Reserve (southern open space), Altona Meadows — Henry Drive, Altona Meadows VIC 3028
The council’s page for Bruce Comben Reserve (southern open space) lists a “fenced dog off-lead zone”. It also lists “public toilets”, a “BBQ area and shelter” and a “new adventure playground with a large climbing frame, accessible in-ground trampoline and carousel, dual flying fox, shaded sandpit and swings”. The council page prints a different postcode for Altona Meadows from the one used here, which is the one in the Australian postcode file.
Off-leash status: the fenced dog off-lead zone, per Hobsons Bay; bring bags and check the council order for the rest of the reserve.
