This page answers a simple question: where do you find a bakehouse, a patisserie or a bagel counter near Windsor? The honest answer is four places, so that is all we list. One is in Windsor, one in St Kilda East, one in Balaclava and one in Prahran, which makes this an in-and-around guide rather than a Windsor-only one.
Each place was checked against at least two sources: OpenStreetMap, its own website and the Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG). Where a source prints hours, we say whose listing it is. Where we found none we leave hours out.

Lukumades lists its Windsor branch at 176 Chapel Street, and OpenStreetMap carries the same address. The name points to loukoumades, the Greek fried dough balls, though we have not seen a menu to confirm what it sells.
Its website lists Monday to Thursday 12pm to 11pm, Friday 12pm to 12am, Saturday 11am to 1am and Sunday 11am to 11pm. OpenStreetMap’s tags show different times, 10:00 to 22:00 on Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 10:00 to 23:00 on Friday and Saturday. Ring ahead and trust the venue over either listing.
Go for: the one Windsor address on this list, with its own site’s hours as the starting point.
Lichtenstein’s Bakehouse — 287 Carlisle St, St Kilda East VIC 3183
Lichtenstein’s Bakehouse gives its address on its own site as 287 Carlisle Street East St Kilda, VIC 3183. AGFG puts the same street number on Carlisle St but calls the suburb Balaclava, so the two sources differ on the suburb name, not the street.
We found no hours we would stand behind, so we print none. A call before you go is the safe move.

Dana Patisserie’s site lists its store at 175 Carlisle St, Balaclava, and AGFG agrees. The site says Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 5 pm, and weekends 7:30 am to 5 pm.
The pages we read were undated, so treat those hours as a guide rather than a promise. The site also lists a separate Bentleigh branch, which is not the one covered here.

Crooked Letters — 293 High Street, Prahran VIC 3181
Crooked Letters is at 293 High Street, Prahran, and its own site, OpenStreetMap and AGFG all agree on that address. We have it filed as a bagel cafe. Its site carries a move notice, and that notice points to this address.
The site lists Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8am to 2pm. The pages were undated, so check before a special trip.
