Cornershop — 11 Ballarat Street, Yarraville VIC 3013
“Proudly Yarraville since 2007,” says its own site, and its drinks menu prints a batch brew, hot or chilled, at $5.50. Batch brew is filter coffee made in a larger brewer, lighter-bodied than espresso and built for a slow sip.
Sweet or savoury? Sweet: buckwheat waffles with saffron poached pear, salted caramel, vanilla ice cream and toasted seeds, $22.50, gluten-free. Savoury: the bacon and egg butty on a bap roll with brown sauce, $17.50, or a Reuben on rye at $20 for lunch. Hours listed: 7.30am to 3pm weekdays, 8am to 3pm on weekends.

Coracle — 63-65 Anderson Street, Yarraville VIC 3013
The answer to “Japanese brunch in Yarraville”. Coracle’s menu page, headed autumn 2026, lists the asagohan: rice, grilled market fish, soup, side dishes, pickled vegetables and tea, the traditional Japanese breakfast. The asagohan and yakitori sets are grilled on a hibachi over Kishu binchotan charcoal, so the menu asks you to allow 25 to 35 minutes, and meal sets are served from 9am.
Coffee has two lanes. Espresso is the Candyman blend by Small Batch; Vietnamese coffee is made with coconut milk and condensed milk, hot or iced. Matcha and hojicha cover the tea side. Open 7am to 3pm, closed Tuesdays; the kitchen cooks from 8am until 2pm or until food sells out. The asagohan has no price on the menu page.

“Cafe. Kopitiam.” is how Masak Masak introduces itself. A kopitiam is a Malaysian and Singaporean coffee shop, and its classic breakfast is here. The Kopitiam Breakfast, $16, comes two ways; the kaya version is thick-cut toast with Dulu Deli Hainanese kaya (a coconut and egg jam), butter and two soft-boiled eggs. Add kopi or teh, the local-style coffee or tea, for $4.
Sweet or savoury? Savoury wins on this menu. The Sarawak laksa, rice vermicelli in a spiced prawn and chicken coconut broth, is $18 small or $21 large; the vegetarian one, with mushrooms and tofu, is $17 or $20. The sweet lane is the HK-style French toast with spiced pear and dulce de leche, $20. Days are 7am to 3pm weekdays and 8am to 3pm weekends, plus dinners Thursday and Friday from 5:30pm.

The new one. Mamma Knows West reported on 25 August 2026 that it had just opened on Wembley Avenue, and its own site says it is family run and open seven days. It lists 6:30am on weekdays, the earliest opening time of the cafes on this page that publish hours.
The menu leans Greek. Savoury: the smashed avo koulouri, $29, comes with whipped feta, pickles, dill oil, soft eggs and salsa verde; a koulouri is the Greek sesame bread ring. Sweet: rizogalo, $22, warm Greek rice pudding with cinnamon cream and nashi pear. Coffee is $5.50 or $6, house or seasonal blend, and a freddo espresso, a double shot shaken over ice, is $7. Eggs on sourdough are $14.

Tailor Made — 84 Gamon Street, Yarraville VIC 3013
“Established in 2024, Tailor Made is a Greek family-owned Café,” says its own site, which promises homemade Greek pies, peinirli and all-day brunch. Peinirli is a boat-shaped Greek bread, baked open with a filling, a little like a pizza.
Sweet or savoury? Savoury. Its ordering page lists an egg and bacon roll on brioche with house tomato jam at $14.50, and a lamb souvlaki at $19, listed for takeaway orders only. A magic is $5.50. Hours: 7am to 2pm weekdays, 8am to 2pm on weekends and public holidays, and the kitchen is closed every Tuesday.

The menu on its site is posted as an image, so we have not quoted prices from it. Coffee is Bean Cartel. Hours: 7:30am to 3pm weekdays, 8am to 3pm weekends.

The station pick. Broadsheet’s listing puts it “right in the middle of Yarraville’s train and bus stations and taxi rank”, in a former milk bar. It has no website we could find, so this one rests on listings: its DoorDash storefront lists flat whites, lattes and cappuccinos alongside croissants, an almond croissant, Danishes and a cheese twist.
Broadsheet’s write-up, last updated in 2018, described in-house vegan baking, and the Australian Good Food Guide’s listing names vegan corn fritters and vegan pancakes. The DoorDash menu we could read shows coffee, cold drinks and pastries from the cabinet, so we could not confirm the brunch dishes; check what’s on before you plan brekkie around them.
