This page answers one question: where in Yarraville can you take a dog and still sit down for a drink or a meal? Four places made the cut, all in Yarraville. One is a pub, two are restaurants and one is a cafe across the road from a dog park.
Each place was checked against at least two sources. Where a place says it welcomes dogs in its own words, we quote it. Where the only evidence is an AGFG listing tag, we say so, because those tags are the listing’s, not ours.
None of the sources say whether a dog may sit inside. Treat outdoor tables as the safe assumption and ring ahead. Off-leash rules for the park are the council’s to set, so check the council order before you let the lead go.

The Victoria Hotel — 188 Hyde Street, Yarraville VIC 3013
Its own site describes a beer garden with a kids playground and adds, in its words, “it’s doggy friendly, too!” That is the venue’s statement, and it is tied to the beer garden. The site also lists opening hours: Monday to Friday from 12pm, Saturday from 11:30am and Sunday from 11am to 11pm. Hours are as listed by the pub, so confirm on the day.
Inside or outside only: The site ties “doggy friendly” to the beer garden, so assume outdoors only unless the pub tells you otherwise.
Glovers — 34 Ballarat Street, Yarraville VIC 3013
AGFG lists Glovers with Pet Friendly and Alfresco Dining tags. Those are listing features, not a rule we have seen written on the venue’s own site. The site lists hours as Wednesday to Friday from 4pm until late, and weekends from 12pm until late. We could not find a date on the site, so check currency before you go.
Bring: A phone call ahead, because the pet-friendly tag does not say where the dog sits.
Cafe Terroni — 18 Ballarat St, Yarraville VIC 3013
AGFG lists Cafe Terroni with Pet Friendly, Alfresco Dining and Child Friendly tags. As with any AGFG tag, they are the listing’s, not ours. The restaurant’s site lists dine-in from Tuesday to Sunday from 5:00pm. The site is undated, so treat the hours as a guide.
Inside or outside only: The listing pairs pet friendly with alfresco dining, so ask whether dogs are limited to the outdoor tables.
Bass Note Cafe — 3 Harris Street, Yarraville VIC 3013
The cafe’s own site has a Dog-Friendly section. It says the cafe is across the road from Yarraville Gardens dog park and is “always happy to see our four-legged friends”. AGFG also lists Pet Friendly and Alfresco Dining. The AGFG hours listing shows Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday closed. Bass Note Cafe’s menu prints Iced Latte at $6.
